Rookie Cant find Poi Uploader for Nuvi 350

Rookie Problem #1--

I was just looking through the Garmin Site, and I can not find the program to create and upload POI files to my Nuvi 350.

Rookie Problem #2--
Is there any easy way to take a list of addresses (in a CSV file), and easily create a POI file?

I say easy, because there are 500 poi's that I am trying to add. It would be difficult to enter in the Lat/Lon for each one... And that is the way i have done it in the past.

Thank you

You can find poiloader at

You can find poiloader at http://www8.garmin.com/products/poiloader/ and batch for more than one address at a time at http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/geocoding.html

Converting street addresses to Lat/Lon. for free!

I use the below website. It's kind of a pain, but it's free. You'll have to delete the example data, cut/paste your list into it (on their web page) ---convert---cut/past back to excel then rearrange into csv POI format. If your address, city, st, phone etc. is over multiple cells you’ll have to combine rows over multiple columns into column D for all of the information you want to display.

Please do yourself a favor and read the instructions carefully.

To combine multiple cells in a row into one, such as column D - search help in excel for "Demo: Distribute the contents of 1 cell across multiple cells" I'm using Excel 2007 for that.

Good Luck!
