trying to veiw all the pointer files on my computer they dont show up . says not supported. i have a Sony with windows vista what do I do?

Pointer files? Not sure what files you are trying to view.
Files On Computer
First what do you mean by Pointer Files Is This what you want to know:
Pointer files
Text files that point to the actual location (server and filename) of a streaming file. Almost all systems use pointer files

Vehicles?
If you're talking about Vehicle pointers, you can't view them on the computer. They are in a proprietary Garmin format and can only be viewed on the Garmin.
view vehicles
make a copy of your .srf files & convert them using this program ( make sure that you name each one the same as the .srf so you have them side by side
