Garmin Communicator not Sending Business Details to Nuvi 350

VERY new to GPS and Garmin but am a fast learner. I have downloaded and installed the Garmin Communicator plugin, tested it, and have been downloading businesses via the "Send to GPS" function. However, when I checked the results on the Garmin, I found that only the lat/lon is displayed under the name; all of the business information shown in the "send" window is missing.
Searched long enough to no avail for an answer so I'm posting the question. If it has been asked before, I aplogize.

I believe that is is a problem with how the 350 handles the comment field data.
Phil will be along to detail the ins and outs of how that model handles data.
Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it from that interface ... I don't think.

Exactly - the 3xx series expects data to be in the <cmt> fields, delimited by {linefeeds}. None of the other Garmins do - so consequently most interfaces don't write the data there.
Actually, you can workaround this problem, using the (free) functionality I added to GeePeeEx Editor V1.8.0 (see sig. for download URL).
The Google maps gpx file will be called something along the lines of: \Garmin\gpx\gpxfile200861216322.GPX.
GeePeeEx Editor will create \Garmin\gpx\GeePeeEx.gpx.
Step 3 might not actually be necessary - the search order of the Nüvi is such, that it will probably use GeePeeEx Editor's data in preference to Google's. Quite right too

Try Mapquest and see what results you get.I have a c340 and the same thing happen but when I use Mapquest all info shows. http://www.mapquest.com/

Mapquest duplicates the address data into the <desc> 'field'. Unfortunately, the Nüvi 3xx series does read that field either.
You could edit the 'Mapquest xxx.gpx' file and Replace 'desc>' with 'cmt>' to some effect. Unfortunately, the fields are delimited with spaces, not {linefeeds}, so the formatting's not good.
(If you edit it like that, you'll pick up the end tags at the same time (ie </desc> as well as <desc>)

I have been testing GeePeeX along with the Garmin loader and everything appears to work very, very well!
Will be paying to unlock as soon as I catch up on some recent motorcycle expenses. One must have priorities!
