680 Lost voice guidence,phone,

Any one ever loose your voice guidence and phone ability. I did an update to see if that would fix it, nada.Garmin wants 110.00 to repair. May have to bite the bullet. It has 2010 maps and msn on it. I use it alot and like the hands free phone.

Yes. It resets the device to factory specs. Please back up your POI's and Fave first. You may lose them.

I reset and still nothing. I am playing the audible book and no voice either. It shows time elapsing but no sound. These all seem to be linked as one problem
You don't have it set to
You don't have it set to transmit fm, do you? Press the power button quickly, while it is on, and make sure the audible source is the internal speaker. Just a thought.

Well heres what I did. i turned it on to fm, reinstalled my bluetooth set the radio and it works on everything. It does not want to switch back to the internal speaker. I will try your suggestion. thanks

Hello cactusmechanical: I have exactly the same problem where my 680 wont switch to internal speaker and it says that "it can not switch speakers while the head phone is connected" but i have not head phone connected at all...what can i do to fix this???
