I am new to all of the GPS stuff and just downloaded the "Rest Stop" file to my 855 along with the outhouse icon file.
Will the out house icon show up on my map now for all of the rest stops, or is there something eles I have to do.

Yes
The outhouse icon needs to have the same exact name as the rest stop file name except for the file extension.
Ex: Reststop.cvs, Reststop.bmp
Then you should see the icons, but only when zoomed in sort of close.
Use POI loader to instal these on to the GPS.

I have an 855 as well and it does. If you want it to alert you just make sure that you manually enter the information when you open the loader software. Click on Manual instead of Automatic. Hope this helps.

Once you think all is properly loaded, touch these on your nuvi to see the current Version V Combined Rest Areas and to find if the two files are working as expected:
-Where To?
-Extras
-Custom POIs
-RestAreasCombined(Ver.V)
-[Touch the topmost (nearest) Rest Area]
-Show Map
If the Rest Area POI file is loaded with icons, you'll now see the icon on your map for the nearest Rest Area. Did yours work, pm8546?
