I'am sure i did not download the right thing because i did not do any custom poi files,If i delete poi files will it also delete the free map i just downloaded from garmin.Thanks

When you touch extras and if you don't see custom pois you don't have any loaded to the gps.Your map and custom pois should be in different locations.

To delete custom pois when you run poiloader it gives you the option to delete custom pois.Also when you install custom pois it will overwrite the existing pois on the unit.Last method with the gps connected to the computer.Go to the drive for the gps using my computer.Find the Garmin folder and click on it.You will see folder Poi.Click on it.You will see poi.gpi file.That is your custom pois.You can delete from here also.

When you set up the My Pois folder put it somewhere easy to find.I have mine in my documents.Some users have on desktop.

Charles,I don't even see anything that says extra on my garmin,Thanks,sORRY I NOW SEE EXTRAS,But for some reason it was not there before,I did delete what bi had on there,I will read more how do do it better,Thanks again for your help,Greg

Stay with it.After you load a few it gets easier.If you have any more problems just post.Make sure once you see extras and touch the screen be sure to touch custom pois last.
