MapQuest files?

I think you'll have to import the route on your Nuvi device. It's under My Data, if I remember correctly.

Thanks i guess i still don't under stand tho it was already sent to my device from mapquest.

Most of the time they come in as some strange named GPX file. Look for strange GPX files. A lot of them are strings of numbers and letters.

I did name the file,and i do see it in my device now wile plugged in USB cable/my computer/GPS but how do i activate it so to speak?

Put it another way, you may have to import MapQuest route into a format that Nuvi understands. It's under My Data in my Nuvi 760 - Import Route from File. After importing, the MapQuest route will appear in the route menu.

You loaded the route to your GPS but the route isn't in a form your GPS can use. Go to Tools>My Data. You should see an entry that says something like "Import Route". Touch that and you should see your route name. Import it and you should be able to see it in Routes. I don't know why Garmin makes things so complicated and confusing but they do so I guess we just have to live with it.

I shall add that if you don't see the option to import route from file, it's possible that your Nuvi doesn't support it. I checked Nuvi 350 (assuming that's your device) owner's manual. I don't see it.

Unfortunately, the nuvi 350 does not support advanced routing (importing, saving, recalling, editing, optimizing multi-point routes).
