I have a Garmin 885, is there away to reset the trip log, I'm talking about the blue line on the map that shows my track?

My son is in the market for a GPS but doesn't want to break the bank on one. I haven't kept up with all of the latest models but the 2497LMT looks like it might do the job. I have an 855 and thought he would like the voice command. Any of you guys have one and how do you like it?

Hi all. I just purchased a new Garmin Nuvi 40LM and a new Garmin City Navigator SD card with a map of the UK and Ireland. I plugged the card into the Nuvi and tried to find available maps under Tools/Maps/Info, but it only showed the built in map (USA). When I plugged the unit into my Mac computer, it shows the Garmin and a device labeled 'No Name', which I assume is the SD card.

Since the latest Garmin Smartphone Link 1.5 Update; They have dropped the BEST FEATURE; send locations from Google Maps.

Does Garmin enjoy messing with customers?

I have a Nuvi 2597LMT, when I am loading custom POI's and using the "alert me with in feet" of an alert point 1. What is the maximum number of feet away from an alert point that I can use? 2. What is the shortest distance in feet to an alert point can I use?

First time poster here!

I have a Garmin Nuvi 50LM.

My question relates to my custom POI icons...

I want to have all (or most) of the icons to show up on my Garmin whenever I drive close to my custom POI's.
However, I do not want the alert tone to 'beep' at all whenever I drive close to the POI's.

Recently bought a 52 when my 1490 died during a business trip. Screen on 52 is noticeably dimmer than the 1490 even when turned up to 100%. Anyone else experiencing this?

Had to drive from Mesa to Denver so I downloaded all the POI's I thought I would need. No problems until I stopped at a rest area just over the AZ/NM line in NM. Started the car and immediately got a warning for a 35 mph zone. Thought that was for the rest area but once on I-40 the warning stayed on until I couldn't stand it anymore and turned off all the POI's.

My 2555 Nuvi is almost full from the complete 2014 USA map.
I live in California and would like to know how to reduce the map size only to cover the western states?
Any suggestions?

How do I convert a gpi file to a csv file? I searched Google and kept finding: GPS DATA TEAM WEBSITE, registered paid the fee but the online tools do not work???
How could i do this conversion?

Can I add the red light cameras as well as the school crossing zones speed limit , if so how do I add the school zone crossing to my kenwood kna g510, and do the have the school zone crossing data base here, thanks everyone........

Ran the Garmin express last night to up date map.
Fail.. this morning there are no maps loaded. Also will not load any maps from Garmin express . What happened?
Transfer the back up file but still nothing.
Any suggestions?

I just got Garmin 3597 to replace my defective 2595. But this new wonderful device 3597 does not pair with Google Nexus 4 phone. Any help will be appreciated.

I have a Nuvi 1680, and the mount suction cup is falling off the windshield every 2 days or so.

Garmin sent me another one when I complained about this, I installed it and a couple months later it's doing the same as the old one.

Hello... my virtual friends... My 465T told me today that my FM Traffic s/w needed to be updated. I searched Garmin site and found nothing helpful. Checked this site and was not able to obtain any info that steered me in the right direction..

Can someone assist and direct me to the proper place for this update?

In about 2009 I built a poi of all the school crossings here in Lawrence Kansas. When I got within a certain distance of one of these crossings a custom voice would say "school crossing ahead"....The POI is on this site. At that time I had a Nuvi 660, now I have a Nuvi 2597 and I can't remember how I got poi to use the "school crossing ahead" sound to work.

I'm not a tech head by any means and I use a Mac. This may be a really simple and stupid question, but I'm trying to get my Garmin Nuvi to load and display the Beall's Department Store POI files that are in .gpx format.

I couldn't find an answer in the FAQ section. Do I have to convert the file somehow to .csv? Or is there something else I should be doing?

Color LCD screens use polarizing filters. They shine the background light through a polarizing filter, then through the 3 color sub-pixels (which upset the polarization), then they use another polarizing filter at a 90 degree angle to the first to block out light that didn't pass through one of the colored sub-pixels.

Just notice that I was unable to find any speed trap in Ontario, Canada in CSV file.

I can find other provinces but not ON.

Have they been removed or I can't find them.
