Had to un-install Express due to interaction with other hardware

I know this subject has been covered before, but the Prior ver Express didn't cause issues, though the latest seems to not play well with another driver.

The past few days I've been having issues with a driver for other hardware loading since I upgraded Express and downloaded new maps a couple days ago...

Hardware is a Matrox MX02 Video BOB..... It has been failing to load since the upgrade and map download.

Since maps are downloaded I UN-installed Express... and I tested system with a few reboots.... and that issue seems to have gone away....

I'll post again in a week or so to confirm if this is still OK.

Drivers/timeline

I assume that you have gone to Matrox to make sure you have the latest MX02 drivers.

I want to make sure of the timeline.

You had Express installed.

You then installed the software for your Matrox MX02 video dock hardware.

You then upgraded Express to the latest version.

You began to experience problems with the Matrox MX02.

You uninstalled Express (did you happen to use Revo Uninstaller?)

Your Matrox loading problems went away.

Getting the "Latest" drivers

Getting the "Latest" drivers from Matrox is definately NOT what you want to do!

There are specific drivers for Specific Edit systems!
In my case, I use Premiere, so I need to use Premiere V6.0.3 (PPRO V6.0.4 has not been certified with any Matrox version, yet). In my case it is 7.x.1294, which is NOT the latest version.

The specific driver from Matrox is Edit Software Specific, is NOT the latest driver... and if 'latest' drive is loaded, proper operation is not assured!

I had Matrox driver

I had Matrox driver installed... then loaded Express (Express was loaded for last map upgrade, not this one..) and it co-existed without an issue.

Then this recent map update came out.

I ran Express... It said no new maps.... I saw posts from someone else saying they had to update Express in order to get new maps....
So I updated Express... And got new maps....(Yes, older Express didn't see new maps!)

After loading the latest Express, I discoverd on system start the Matrox driver failed to start....
So I restarted system again... Sometimes it loaded the driver (Which checks and downloads firmware to BOB if necessary)... Sometimes not... It used to be 99-100% successful....
Last thing I did was load New Express...
So I un-installed it...
Rebooted a few times... Now Matrix loads driver repeatedly, like before.

That's why I posted...

Thanks for the update

We use Premiere Pro software and Matrox hardware in the Television ministry at my church so my first thought was whether you had the latest driver from Matrox - understanding that it is specific to the configuration you are using.

MX02 Here.. Love it.

older MX02 Here.. Love it.
