Atlanta MARTA Smartphone Application?
I am in Atlanta for 6 weeks right now. I have 2 weeks down and 4 to go. So far, my Garminfone has helped me quite a bit since I have no automobile here. I have been using public transportation to get around. The Garmin software works very well for MARTA rail. For example, I select my POI and then search near it to find the closest MARTA Rail Transit Station.

I got the 5.10.1 update yesterday. Apparently, it just fixed some bugs in the previous version, I have not noticed any new features.

MapQuest App iPhone
MY GARMIN is in Hawaii with my son and family. Had to rely on MapQuest app on iPhone. Wow. It worked just as well as my Garmin. I was fully surprised with the results.

After some time, I'm able to put up another HOWTO on how to POI-ify your smartphones 
Sygic GPS is presently available for the US for approximately US$24 (Euros 19.99) and as of version 11.2 (now out for some time) it will have the capability of using POIs (in Garmin CSV format) after conversion with a free tool.

Google Buys Motorola Mobility for US$12.5 Billion

Import POI-Factory camera CVS files for use with Google Navigator and others!
I don't know much about the light version, I have the pro. I also use it in the background not using it's maps. I use Google Navigator and get all the POI-Factory custom POI alerts from the Radardroid app.
I recommend this Android App!
