OK, admittedly, I did not give up my watch voluntarily...it is "under repair." In the meantime, I am stuck with just my smartphone to keep me informed of the time. How-some-ever, being in this predicament has made me aware that there are indeed several people who do not wear a watch and pull out their smartphone (or cellphone) when they want to check the time.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered, so forgive my question, as I couldn't locate the answer. But if I purchase the $59.99 Garmin StreetPilot app from the iTunes app store, does anyone know whether I can only obtain full functionality on one phone or both my phones?

I recently installed the Garmin North America App on my iPhone 4S.

Although it is a nice app and clearly better than Google Maps, and up there with Navigon, it is not a replacement for my Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx. I'd have to say that the Garmin North America iPhone app emulates a low to mid range nuvi which has but a fraction of the features of the 60CSx.

Well, there are many alleged stories popping up regarding the iPhone 5 and a release sometime later this year, around summer-ish.

Also, iPad 3 is getting more attention lately with a pending release. Rumors there are the iPad 3 will be getting 4G LTE data capability.

I'm about to enter the 21st century with an Android phone. T-Mobile has a plan that's cheaper than my AT&T dumb phone. My only concern is that the coverage map has a lot of holes out West. I do get free roaming and the phone supports basic GSM, 3G and 4G. Will I have trouble getting connected in many places?

I just got a Toshiba Thrive tablet for myself and was wondering if there is any app that will import POI files? I dug around here and came up with several leads but many were old or just confusing.

It looks like some apps will import CVS or GPX files, specifically Geocaching apps, but I'm not sure if they will actually work.

Any thoughts?

Can you suggest how I can import my POIs (in kml/kmz format) into the Navigon app in my iphone 4?

if this is not possible, what iphone app will allow importing of POIs? I need an app with maps as I will be using the app when there is no cellphone coverage.
