Inheriting an iPhone
I’m about to inherit a FREE used iPhone and I have no desire to own a smartphone, I will be using it as a iPod.
At present time I own a two year old iPod Touch with no camera or built in GPS that my wife will inherit to play her stupid games.

Android ICS
Anyone get the new upgrade to ICS yet? Haven't seen the upgrade in my Sys Updates yet on my Nexus S.
Yes, I know it was released 2 days ago, and the roll out will be a month. 
Just wondering who has received it.

Droid-x can not be upgraded to latest version of OS
I find that my Verizon Droid-X can not be upgraded to the latest OS.
It appears that Google drops all support for a droid phone 18 months after the phone has been announced.
Apple does not do this. One can load the latest apple OS onto the oldest apple iphone.
So, this is one negative of the Droid

Droid-X and trapster
I tried using trapster on my verizon doid-x phone the past few days.
What I find disturbing is that after a while the the droid/trapster stops announcing the rlcs and other things. Instead I only get a vibrate.
Restarting trapster doesn't solve the audio problem, as I need to reboot the android.
The trapster app looks like it is good, but we need reliability.

Sony Galaxy Player 4.0 and 5.0
I was at a Best Buy today and I saw that the Sony Galaxy Players are now available and do have GPS. I was thinking that with CoPilot for Android and a suitable windshield mount, these might make a decent automobile navigator. Plus it would serve as an MP3 player, wifi browser, etc.

Blank panels on Android
Anyone know how to get rid of the blank panels on the home screen on Gingerbread? It's goofy that I can't figure it out. Chalk it up to a droid newb!

Navigon on the Windows Phone 7 platform
Has anyone had a chance to check this out? I'm thinking about getting this for my smartphone but I don't know if I should wait since Navigon is now owned by Garmin. Any thoughts?

Strange Routing With Android Google Maps
On a recent trip to some smaller "towns" in the Mojave Desert area of California, I noticed that my Andriod Google maps was giving me some very strange routings. I had taken my GO930 because I wasn't sure about cell phone coverage in some of the areas I would be traveling and it chose the routes I expected.

CoPilot Live Standard Or Premium?
I am thinking of buying CoPilot Live for an Android Motorola Defy, but I cannot seem to tell from their webpage what the differences are between Standard and Premium. If anybody here has experience with CoPilot, I would love to hear what the differences are in the two choices.
