Garmin and the Smartphone link app
Hi, I just switch from the Iphone 5 to an android phone so I decided to get the garmin smartphone link app installed on my phone. I've used it for a few days but I don't see the benefit of the app. Am I missing anything and what are the FREE benefits for the app?
Does anyone else use the app and what FREE feature do you use?

Navigation App without Data Plan?
Hi,
Does anyone know of a navigation app that can use my phone's built in GPS and not require a data plan?
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S3.

Apple Maps
I'm sure this has been beaten into the ground by now but I thought I'd share a funny story about my iPhone Maps using the new IOS.
I'm very happy with my Garmin so I've always used it instead of the iPhone for navigation. But one day I decided to run both and see what happened. Having heard how bad the new Apple maps are, I wanted to check it out for myself.

TomTom for Android now available
The Google Play Store now lists the availability of the TomTom GPS app for Android. The link is at:

The app is similar in features to the existing TomTom app for iPhones - it has downloadable maps ,etc.

Directions are goofy, POI's are mislabeled or not located in the correct spot.
I'm sure Apple will learn from their mistakes and will eventually have a great product but for now I don't want to be a BETA tester.
