Interesting....as I am considering buying one.

I had thought about the new Nexus7

I had thought about the new Nexus7 but ended up going with the Samsung Quad Core Note 8.0 and could not be more pleased. The GPS feature works great and is very accurate and fast with the location fix. The Note 8.0 came out in April so there was more real world testing available to help me decide.

Samsung has disclosed that they will be updating the international version of the S3 phone, the S4 phone, the Note 8.0 and the Note 10.1 to the new Android 5.0 shortly after Google releases it. That was one of my number one requirements when I was deciding. The S Pen is a very nice extra that comes with the note.

I've been thinking about buying the Nexus 7

Either the 1st or the 2nd generation Nexus 7. I'm having a hard time deciding which one, but am leaning toward the 2nd generation. However, due to the GPS glitches, I would buy from a place with a great return policy!

I love my Nexus 7. (Thanks to all the great people on here that told me to buy it)

One difference in the New Nexus 7 is the camera on the back. Mine does not have one. In comparing the two that is the only thing I can find that I would like that mine doesn't have. If you take photos that is something to consider as with the front facing only camera it is low quality and very hard to get a photo of anything other than yourself.

I have the 3G, don't know what the difference is as the new one has 4G lte, I know what 4G is but what is the lte?

The new screen is the biggest thing for me, it is much brighter and has much improved resolution.

Lte is the only real 4G,your 4G is HSDPA, much slower. I sometimes get 50+mbs!

I have read that the latest

I have read that the latest s/w update for the NEXUS 7 (2013) model has fixed the GPS issue and also a screen touch issue.

I am considering buying it when the LTE version becomes available.

It is odd that the Nexus 7

It is odd that the Nexus 7 LTE version is available in some European countries, but not in the USA.

Latest reports are that the touch screen has touch-problems once again.

Reported touch problems

I purchased the Nexus 7

I purchased the Nexus 7 LTE
moved my microSIM card from phone to the new tablet and it seems to work fine.

I am still waiting for a case I ordered from Amazon before taking it places.

I have the 1st Nexus 7, if the New Nexus 7 is as good as the old one I am sure you will love it. Mine is 3G (I think that is what the call the mobile) and it is great.

I am using my Nexus 7 LTE on Verizon. I moved my phone SIM card to the tablet, and forwarded my verizon phone number to my google voice number. Hihi

that's probably why Google

that's probably why Google is rumored to have chosen a new vendor, other than Asus, for the next version of Nexus. I think it is better to get a 2012 gen Nexus, especially because there all kinds of promotions on that one so it offers big bang for the buck before migrating to the next gen Nexus, presumably by LG

do you have the links?

Hi,
I am also considering getting the 2nd gen Nexus 7 Wi-Fi and tethering it to my phone while driving. I've heard about issues with the GPS but don'[t know what the latest status is on that one. Do you have any links? By the way, besides the above mentioned issues, I've heard some tablets get stuck in the X (booting) stage. Do you know if these issues have been positively resolved by now? FWIW, reviews on Amazon cite extremely poor support and warranty service from ASUS
