What mounts are you all using or the smartphone mount?
I got an iOttie mount ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B78MT44/ref=oh_details_o... ) and an Aduro mount ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008ALV0V4/ref=oh_details_o... ) but I don't like the suction base of these units.
So I took the upper phone mount arms and tried to see if my Garmin bean bag would fit. Lo and behold it did fit, so I now use my Garmin bean bag along with these upper smart phone arms. Seems to work pretty well.
I'm interested to see what others are doing to find the best phone mount.
Been very happy with Mountek
Use it for my iPhone. Very adjustable. Uses CD player opening to mount securely. Has worked flawlessly. Adjust to accommodate many different sized phones.
Nuvi 3597 LMT

I do like that mount, unfortunately my vehicle did not come with a CD player (cassette LOL!!).. so it does not work for me.

Dashboard Cam
A little off topic, but has anyone found a smartphone dashboard mount solid enough to use the built-in video camera as a dashboard cam without getting lots of bouncing in the video?

Always liked this idea

Seen these before, always wondered how they worked in the field. With the aging tech and how no one uses their CD player much this is a convenient spot for a phone holder.
.
I've been using a Mountek Universal CD Slot Mount for Cell Phones and GPS Devices on both my cars, one with a CD player and one without. On the one without, I slipped the part that would go into the CD player into a seam in the dashboard where it works fine.

Phone Mounts
my phone is not smart it is a gophone but tried several mounts..finally went with a magnetic mount. just be sure to put the magnet on the car not the phone. i've read it wasn't good to have a mag on the phone for long periods or all the time. works best of all i've tried , just get it close and it grabs it...$5 ebay...no i don't sell them
Kenu Airframe
I use a Kenu Airframe vent mount for my iPhone5. Best vent mount I have used so far. Slightly pricey, but well worth it. I picked it up at the Apple Store.
