Testing the Camsam app on android along side with Google maps and I'm finding it pretty good with alerts. Alerts the warnings on the correct side of the road traveled. Tested about a week so it's not long term but it's surpassed several other apps that I had DL'ed and uninstalled.
Anyone else gave this app a try. IMO, beats Waze and there's not too many other good apps out there. Saw a Tomtom app but it's not available for the US for some reason.
