Apple claims that this release deals with some bug fixes and security improvements. I installed it a few days ago and have not seen it create any visible problems.

I have owned Android tablets in the past, but I am giving some thought to getting a new one. I am sort of one the fence between getting an Amazon Fire HD 10 and an Android with GPS. It looks like the number of Android tablets has dwindled quite a bit. And the ones that are available are quite a bit more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 10. I sure wish the Amazon Fire HD 10 had GPS.

Years ago, before the advent of dashboard GPS units, I used to navigate with a laptop, Delorme's Earthmate GPS receiver (no screen) and StreetAtlas USA software. That cumbersome rig was eventually replaced by a string of various standalone GPSr's which I use today.

On another forum, a person was wondering how to play audio cassettes in his car. This can be done by either converting the cassette audio to MP3 or by pumping the cassette audio into the car's AUX-IN plug. Since it was an interesting question, this lead me to investigating this further.

Installed on my 9.7 inch iPad Pro with no noticeable problems.

I know that Apple says that iOS and iPadOs are now separate operating systems, but releasing iOS 13.3 and iPadOS 13.3 so close to each other every time makes me wonder exactly how much difference there really is between them.

Supposedly has some bug fixes.

No obvious problems so far.

As the Subject line says, iPadOS 13.2.2 has been released.

I've downloaded it to my 9.7" iPad Pro and used it for several days now with no visible problems.

At the beginning of 2019 we got a new car, a Subaru Forester with an in-dash TomTom GPS. We also have, a Nuvi650 that we have used for the past 11 years!!!!!

Anyway, we recently bought a new smartphone. Previously we only had a dumb phone. So we are now up-to-date.

We just installed Android Auto so I was wonder how well it works.

Offered last week, and I downloaded it to my iPhone 8+.

I don't really see any difference, which may be a good thing.

Old news for Android users but this is new for iOS 13 users. With the iOS 13 update, you can now use the Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader and the FILES app on your device to now read your pictures and videos.

Just picked one up at the Apple store and it works like a charm. Reads the SD card, can play the videos and with a click you can save to your camera roll.

Both were supposed to be released Sept 30 but were released Sept 24.

Installed 13.1 on my iPhone Xr and iPad OS on my 6th gen iPad. All went smoothly without any hitches. Now to explore for new stuff

Improved stability of app

Apple has released iOS 12.4 this week.

I have installed it on my iPhone 8+ and on my 9.7 inch iPad Pro, with no negative effects on either device so far.

I know that 3 in 1 computers exist. I would like to find a 3 in 1 Chromebook, that has a built in GPS receiver, that will also work as an Android tablet. Do they exist?

I recall reading that you can install Android apps on some Chromebooks, so I guess what it boils down to is if there are ANY 3 in 1 Chromebooks that have an internal GPS receiver?

My wife and I Were on an Alaskan cruise last week. We flew there and cruised on a Norwegian ship.

Since I didn't have data during much of the cruise, I am just curious what apps people here use for MARINE and AVIATION use, particularly when they have NO data.

As the title says, Apple has released iOS 12.4.

It has installed without issues on my iPhone 8+ and my 9.7 inch iPad Pro.

From the descriptions, it looks like it is mostly a bug fix release, although they did restore one feature that had been previously removed after discovery of a security vulnerability.
