ALL 840 issue maps were released this morning.

So the othernight I was driving when all of a sudden my suction cup lost its grip (very rare with TTs awesome mount) my One 3rd edition I got almost 2 years a go fell on my dash and then on the floor. I thought nothing of it this has happened before and my GPS has come out unscathed so I remount (that's what she said) and continue.

I'm starting to wonder what's going on with my 910. I get a server error lately when trying to connect to the TomTom site and it is starting to tell me my 910 doesn't have certain capabilities to download stuff into it. Is my 910 getting to be older technology? ANyone else getting errors when connecting their 910 to the TomTom website?

What color scheme do you use on your TomTom? Right now I am using one I downloaded which is made to look like the Garmin colors.

Do you use a different scheme for night driving?

Following instruction found here detailing how to add POI OV2 files to the GO-910 resulted in them not being found on the 910. Looking at the contents of the hard disk in the 910 shows the files are there, but the 910 does not see or list them in the POI index.

What interesting features have you found on your TomTom? Something simple to you may be a wonderful discovery for a newbie (or an old hand who hasn't explored their TT very much ).

For example: when using the Browse Map function, you can touch a POI icon and you will get a pop-up window that says what it is, e.g. "What-a-Burger."

I AM LOOKING FOR GPS COORDINATES TO HELP NAVIGATE THROUGH INDIANA'S BIGGEST FESTIVAL THAT RUNS THROUGH 9 COMMUNITIES. This countywide festival always starting on the 2nd Friday in October is nationally known as one of the largest. THIS FESTIVAL LAST FOR 2 WEEKS AND LAST YEAR THEY PASSED THE 2 MILLION VISITOR MARK.

TomTom has already delivered its LIVE services to an array of its higher-end personal navigation devices, but now the company is pushing the Google love onto less expensive siblings. Er, one less expensive sibling.

I downloaded US Weigh-Stations a long time ago and it worked perfectly. I just redown loaded the same file and now it does not show on screen when you approach a scale.( yes I did put it in the USA and Canada folder and enabled show poi. I can do a search for poi and it will show list and map, It just wont show in real time. Anybody got ideas? All othe POIs work properly thx, Ken TomTom ONE 3RD

i am new enough to this poi stuff but have found some of the stuff fantastically helpful. i am off to orlando for the fist time ina few weeks and want to play a bit of golf. the tom tom poi has some courses but i was going to add the "orlando golf" one on here for any extras... it is a GPX file but when i tried to convert it in POI edit it says it is corrupt. can anyone help...

I seem to remember a posting some time ago about setting the maximum distance for a POI alert on a TomTom One 3rd but cannot find it. Can anyone help me? Thx

I open my brand new 720 in Reno last weekend, I was going to where the air races are being held. I found this funny thought. I put in the air field and NO hits at all. Stead air field. I tried many different things. Different POI categories and just stead and other things. No hits at all. I did get there, with the help of the internet.

TomTom has just introduced new 5" models 530 XXL and the 540XXL.

A TomTom Go 740 LIVE seems to be limited to 8 pages of 6 items each for search results for almost anything I search for.

We tend to take long trips and like to plan gas purchases as far as 450 to 500 miles away. There does not seem to be a way to do that unless there are 48 or fewer fuel places found along the route.

When searching along a route, how close does a POI have to be to the planned route to be found (TomTom GO 740).

I'm a Garmin Nuvi owner, but regretted my purchase choice after learning about Mapshare. A friend now has a Tom Tom (a choice he made on his own without my input) and in discussing it with him I'm told that he can't add a missing road.

A TomTom GO 740 seems to typically ask if I need to get to my destination at a particular time at the start of route planning. Is there a way to say I never want to do that so bug off?

I have looked in preferences and cannot seem to find it.

Later: I have discovered it is coupled to whether or not I want leeway times displayed in the status bar.
