Only .ov2 files in a TomTom

I don't see why POI's downloaded from here shouldn't work in your GPSr. Remember, TomTom's use .ov2 files, any other format has to be converted.

If you haven't looked already www.tomtomforums.com has some good info as well! wink

Let's see now...

Exactly which file are you looking to remove? You can delete the POI's by going into the US map folder, finding the specific POI file and just deleting it. That should be standard procedure for ALL TomTom's, including your model. You can delete anything that appears in the root directory, i.e., files, folders, etc. - but I don't recommend doing that unless you are sure of what/why you're doing that!

As for the .bmp, just name it EXACTLY as the POI that you want it to represent and then save it in the US map folder/file.

Check here for more answers as well: www.tomtomforums.com That's the unofficial TomTom help site; there are people there with much much more knowledge then I. smile Every model (except the new XXL's) is listed.

When I first copied the ham

When I first copied the ham radio repeters in the usa updated.ov2 file I sent it to the root directory by mistake. So I would like to remove that file.

Delete delete delete

You can delete the HAM .ov2 from the root file without causing any problems. If you have to, just re-save it in the US map file/folder. wink

Don't forget to make a copy of the root file and save it on your computer, you don't have to use HOME to do this. It's always good to have another back-up file on the PC in case TomTom HOME craps out! smile
