Some additional Europe maps have trickled out.

ALL 840 maps have been released.

Hey guys, Just downloaded

Hey guys,

Just downloaded this update, has anyone lost their function map schemes, I can only seem to use the default for some reason... anyone have any ideas?

Not Sure

I'm not sure what you mean by "function map schemes." The only thing I lost was my favorites, but that is normal. I only had a few as most are custom POIs, so I did not bother to find the old favorites file on my computer (I did a back-up prior to downloading the new map).

Im aware of the favorites

Im aware of the favorites issue, but it seems all the custom color schemes i downloaded for my map do not work anymore when i try to select them. when i try to select a different color scheme its reverts back to the default. Ive noticed pictures of buildings are now included in dense city areas, could this have something to do with it?

I use the default map scheme

So, I can't help you there. You might try asking in the TomTom GO forum at www.gpsreviews.net.

Great

It only took two new map editions for them to put a major road in my area on the map!

Bout time.

Same here. I submitted a road re-route update in May. It showed up in the 840 issue.

Problem After Loading 840 Maps

I get a "File access error: cannot save map settings." box in the upper right hand corner; this did not happen before the map update. I have tried reinstalling the maps and get the same error. Any ideas?
thx,
Jen

Are these problems occurring

Are these problems occurring only on more 'advanced' models?

Should we 'old school' 300 600 series folks be concerned with this new release?

Do the POIs gets updated

Do the POIs gets updated substantially in every release. My maps are about an year old. I sometime find POIs data old, like so me store closed, or moved etc. Otherwise I do not see any need of new maps.

So are the POIs of 840s pretty current ?

Thanks

Buildings

Footprints

Guess it has to do with the Navcore, not the map????

No 3D Buildings

I don't recall ever seeing 3D buildings on my GO 930, not even when driving in downtown Dallas. Maybe I just never drove where 3D buildings were available?
