I just picked one up and find its one of the best option out there. I love the option where it syncs to my pc or phone automatically. Has anyone used the the thrill route option on it?

Does the *bmp icon file need to have the same name format as the *ov2 file. i.e will the shell.bmp pop up on the screen for a POI in the shellcanada.ov2 file or does the file look for a `shellcanada.bmp` etc etc

The Dollar Tree csv file seems to be incomplete.

It does not have city, state, zip, phone number.

Would be great if someone can share some information about the availability of same.

Can I update my wifes tom tom in POI Factory

Greetings, Being new to the nav world and new to Tom Tom I want to pass on that there is an issue in updating their new version 15.600 software. It effects the sound level of the nav unit and will not allow you to adjust the sound level. The sound is lower that the road noise and makes it very hard to hear directions.

I've read a lot of posts, not necessarily here, but around the web, that TomTom Support is not that good. Well, after reading this, you decide.

Recently after uploading several large POI files to my TomTom Pro 7150, it started to freeze up every time I tried to "edit" the POI file (like putting an audible warning on the POI for example). I guessed, and guessed correctly, that the huge POI files (containing over 8000 entries) were just too much for the unit to handle, memory-wise.

I am not smart enought to make a poi i travel a look have the tomtom g-50s and would like a pie, cupcake homegoods and ikea poi thank u

Tomtom plugged in and starts mydrve. I am trying to add poi's.. I don't see the tomtom under devices with removable storage.

1.older tom tom. cant update anymore because of file size . tried to update maps and something screwed up . tom tom wont aquire satellites for 15 min sometimes. it wont show maps sometimes after clicking done .should I just reload all ?

Can I transfer routes created on Basecamp to a TomTom Rider? I realise its not as simple as plugging in the TomTom and pressing upload, but could I export the route as a .gpx file (say) and then import it into TomTom, or do I need another software tool to convert?

I found this great piece of software while reading through the posts here at PF.

I highly recommend this program. Been using it over a year now and I can attest that it is fast and very stable (don't think it's ever crashed).

How can I delete unused languages to create more unused memory?

Hello all! first post here and of course it's all about questions:) I love my via 1605 but alas the unit is having some serious hardware issues. I purchased a garmin 2689lmt and I need the favorites file out of the 1605 to install on my garmin. Believe it or not, there are still addresses in areas that tomtom nor garmin can find. Is there anyway to do this?

Since purchasing my new TomTom I've been customizing it with the same POI files I had on my old one, most of them I got here. Anyway for the old unit I would download the CSV file and convert it to .ov2 with POI Editor. Is there any way to convert the CSV files so that the addresses of the POIs are displayed on my TomTom?

I posted a similar thread about another unit. Sorry if I'm a bother. I am looking to upgrade my XXL 540. It's 4 years old and has served me very well but has run out of space. I'm very leery of the new GO series because of mixed reviews I have seen and limited functionality. I am looking at the VIA 1605M which is still available at Amazon as a possibility.

I'm possibly going to replace my XXL 540 and was looking at this unit. Even though it has been discontinued by TomTom it is still available on Amazon. For anyone familiar with this unit i have a couple of questions about it. Does it have Itinerary planning like the XXL 540? Also can 3rd party POI files like those here be loaded to it.

I have a new version Rider and would like to have the H-D POIs in it like my old Garmin. I'm not a computer wiz and need some instructions.
