New Technology in use by Iowa State Patrol...
This we are recognizing, Garmin Gal!
Garmin Gal has been a member of POI Factory for over a year and a half.
She frequently pops up on various forum discussions to offer tips based on her personal user experience.
This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related.

My Nuvi 360 still works, but find it a bit slow, running out of memory for the latest map updates.
Seems like there are lots of options out there and prices have certainly come down since I paid $500 for my current unit.
I was thinking of getting one with lifetime maps and traffic like the Garmin 2595LMT.
Is the traffic feature worth it? What are the pros and cons?

This week we are recognizing, ajasaro!
Ajasaro has been a member for over 6 years and maintains over 50 POI files. One of his most recent updates was to the Factory Outlets Combined file, which is frequently one of our top 3 popular files.
Thanks for your time and dedication in keeping these files current for our community!
The Consumerist often has entries labeled "Raiders of the Lost Walmart", where intrepid readers send in pictures of obsolete items that still languish on Walmart shelves years after they were discontinued, and oftentimes priced close to their original retail.
I try to keep up with reporting Red Light or Speed Cameras in my near D.C./MD area. While heading out to lunch yesterday, I saw a speed camera being installed on North Portal Drive, DC. I went back today with my GPS to take a location. Lo & behold, you already had it in the database! I guess I never saw it go in earlier.
A big bravo to the team.
This week we are recognizing, jgermann for his most recent FAQ contribution of Common Problems and their Solutions (Garmin).
We appreciate the time and dedication you put into making information like this available to our community.
After the federal government shutdown which closed all national parks, State Route 64 through the park's south rim was kept open to through traffic. But SR64 is now closed:

In another thread (http://www.poi-factory.com/node/40013), Steevo worried that his discussion with me was hijacking that thread.
Since He was taking exception with the fact that there is no right in civil law to "face your accuser", I thought we might continue in a new thread.
Let me begin with this
Anyone have experiences with dash cams, either front recording or dual front and back? I started looking into them and it appears it isn't a matured market yet? Trying to find a good and reliable model.

Maybe you can share with us the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you use it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.
