In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share with us the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you use it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.) Anything to keep your windmill alive.
This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.
This is the official POI Factory Joke thread.
It will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.
As we did one time last year, I've selected a thread that's a good example of our community working together; and we're going to recognize everyone who's contributed to the thread thus far.
The post I've selected is "Backing up a Nuvi 660 on W7-64 (Doesn't want to copy all files)"
This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related.
This thread will be closed on Monday and a new one will be opened.
My nuvi 2595 won't turn on today. The red light on the power cord is on, but there is no power to the unit. My husband uses it for his work. There is a long slim rectangular piece ner the end of the cord just before the end that plugs into the unit. Is there a fuse there?
This week we are recognizing Donaldb530!
Donaldb530 maintains several prominent files, such as Walmart, Sam's Clubs & Super Walmart Centers as well as Flying J/Pilot Travel Plazas.
We are aware that due to the popularity of these files, Donald receives frequent emails regarding new locations or coordinate corrections.
Police officer should be physics teacher since there are good in visual estimation. Physics rule to calculate speed of an object the formula is Avg speed= distance travel/ time of travel. Not based on visual estimate maybe I should used this argument with my high school physics teacher.
Hello my name is Sam. I'm a CDL holder. I drive for a living. I ordered a Rand McNally TND720 on 7/20. It's not here yet (hopefully by Wed.) I have/had a Garmin 465T that BARELY made it past its two year extended warranty. I won't go into rant mode against Garmin here. Suffice to say I ordered a R.M. If there are any users of the 720 (Or any R.M.
Stumbled across this site the other day: http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/
GPS Visualizer is a free, easy-to-use online utility that creates maps and profiles from GPS data (tracks and waypoints, including GPX files), driving routes, street addresses, or simple coordinates.
Where i can find a POI for Holidays Inn and Holiday Inn in USA and Canada
Yes I know it has been a long time since I last checked in.
I have been super busy but will always make time to come say hi to my POI Factory family.
My job is going really well and I am very happy in my work supporting the Navy with all their computer issues.
Three Burger King employees were terminated for improper activity in the lettuce bin.
News outlets say the picture was posted on the free-for-all website 4chan.org, and GPS data embedded in the photo led to the restaurant.

Which POI files can I use with my RM RVND 7710?
A couple of weeks ago a friend told me that someone she knew had their car broken into while they were at a football game. Their car was parked on the green which was adjacent to the football stadium and specially allotted to football fans. Things stolen from the car included a garage door remote control, some money and a GPS which had been prominently mounted on the dashboard.
Whenever I come across a question from someone, my first thought is to point them to a FAQ, if one exists. But, it is hard sometimes to locate an appropriate FAQ.
Ever since the thread
appeared, I have been trying to refine my searches of FAQs using Google Search.
Often I am on highway that is part of several named routes.
In my town we have SE Third street, SR17 and SR94. I had borrowed a Magellan that displayed all three names while not in navigation mode. I can't remember the model number. That was the only feature that I liked on that brand.
