Creating a custom route on google maps then converting to gpx

Hi All,

Solid State drives

I mentioned yesterday (May 4, 2020) in the COW awards thread that I got a new 1TB Solid State Drive (SSD) the same day as my COW award. I got the SSD as a backup drive as my External Backup drive was taking hours to backup my C: drive which contains 141 GB. I also have an E: drive containing 190 GB of data which is mostly pictures and Genealogy stuff.

Instructions for an orderly POI file for quick and easy editing

Since I am hunkered down at home (retired and at high risk for Corona virus complications), I decided to take a break from my genealogy research. This is my 2nd FAQ in a week.

have you managed to get something done you've been wanting to, lately?

I was able to put the timeline together based on paperwork.

Our side spray had stopped working in the kitchen, so I called Kohler, and they sent me a diverter and side spray. I installed the new side spray, and it didn't work. I guess that was 2015.

Price gouging is rampant

I know this has been discussed in other threads.

Some people are just plain crooked and greedy!

The other day I went looking online for "Cold-Eze", since I'm hunkered down at home - I'm in the "High Risk" category and I am not going out to check every store in town.

I'm probably stating the obvious / pics on smartphone

I have a iPhone Xs 64gb. The only reason I got it was that I could get it thanksgiving 2018 for $249. I don't particularly like iPhone. I have a Galaxy S8 64gb that I still use via wifi.

benefits

I was thinking it in my head, but finally an article stated it. There are people asking to be laid off from their jobs, because they stand to make more on unemployment, than when employed, as a result of the extra $600/wk for 4 months, on top of regular unemployment benefits.

New Covid App

Just wanted to share my latest app:

https://www.omjroute.com/covid/analysis/

BC Rest Area data available from Ministry of Transport

In the thread titled "Why is it so difficult to create clean POI files": (http://www.poi-factory.com/node/50558) user Doug R requested data for rest areas in BC.

Most of the data on which the map https://www.th.gov.bc.ca/restareas/?zoom=6&loc=-123.230976%2... is based is freely available to the public.

Thanks to those on the front lines

While doctors and hospital and other healthcare workers are obvious to give thanks too, as well as police and firemen.

I thought Zeke and I would say thanks to our sanitation workers and delivery folks.
