Came across a number, 38.4% of 55+ are in the workforce.

That's it?

That means 61.6% are permanently gone.

I think the unemployment numbers are window dressing, defying what is really going on.

I do know that in my parents' days, people could in fact retire at 53....some in the 40's. But imho at 55 is a stretch (there was the rule of 30 back then).

Every 4th or 5th time I boot my Win 10 desktop, I get a full screen message apparently from Microsoft. It includes an option to upgrade to Win 11.

There is a lot of information on the net about Win 11 upgrades and how to do it but I see no mention of this popup screen I'm getting.

Has anyone else seen this? Is it legitimate or a scam? More importantly, has anyone tried this upgrade?

The good news is, a FEW more of us may get 5G cell service. The bad news is, ALL of us may face flight delays, higher fares and delays in some shipping services.

Is the threat real or just another Y2K style scare? I guess we'll find out on Jan 5th.

I have seen anywhere from 30 to 50 gigs a month. Does that sound about right?

Ajasaro has been a member of POI Factory for over 14 years!

This week we're recognizing him for his help in POI file maintenance. Since the beginning of Dec, he's made about 280 changes to over 10 of the 125-ish POI files he maintains.

As mentioned, I take my BMW to the dealer 1X per year to get a PA State inspection. Probably an antiquated idea, but the reasoning is I don't want the jack pads broken by someone using a lift without the correct adapter. But, nowadays, even Costco has lifts with the flat pads. I've noticed BMW dealers have lifts that come out of the floor, without posts to the side of the doors.

It came to my attention earlier this afternoon that a longtime member, TXRVer (John), passed away in August of 2020.
That's all the information I have.

We thought we'd use this experience to create a thread that we could post announcements of this sort when we get them.

Hopefully, POI Factory will allow this FYI post and it helps others. My 2019 Odyssey has a FOB/Push Button Start. On 3 different occasions, it would not start and all I got was a weak clicking sound as if the car battery was dead. Thankfully, each time, a good samaritan (there are still some out there) was kind enough to jump start my vehicle.

Remember Pearl Harbor and those who sacrificed their lives in order to preserve our freedom. The free people of the United States are forever in your debt.

Mahoney has been a member of POI Factory since the dawn of time, or at least POI Factory time, which is nearly 15 years!

My wife scheduled her booster online, goes to the pharmacy, and it's closed (17:00 EST) lol

In the past this would be Seinfeld or some sit com.

She's very good natured, she just said well I'll have to find another place. Me, I'd be irate.
