Making an Appointment

Has anyone every heard of making an appointment to just drop your RV off at the shop, then have them schedule another time to check what is wrong before they work on it?

New Chrome browser feature

The new Chrome v90 has a feature that may be useful to folks here replying to others' questions. It's Copy Link To Text.

The link below will show results of using it, and the link in the link, shows a second example of it.

Computer Hardware Shortages

I repaired a laptop 2 months ago, and found a deal on 1TB SSD from Micro Center.... Seagate Barracuda SSD... When I registered it at Seagate I discovered it had a 5 year Warranty!! Immediately became my new "goto" drive.... because of the Name & Warranty!

Couple weeks later, When a second laptop needed updating, immediately ordered another, when I found it was still on sale....

A 2689LMT in both our cars that we love... and a Nuvi 660 with Lifetime Maps that we have had literally forever.... And a 2011 Ford Escape with Nav System that is totally ignored!

Chromebooks

I really like having a Chromebook. It's lightweight, cheaper than a laptop PC or Mac, fast booting, etc. I keep mine near my chair so when listening to the radio, watching TV or playing a movie, when a question arises, I can Google it right away.

We want everything yesterday!

I remember as a kid, waiting for things. But I think even myself, over the last 10 years, I don't feel anything should take more than 2-3 days to get. I did order a car in 10/06 and it took 9 weeks to arrive--boy that was a rough 9 weeks!

GPS signal interference

Found the news in Washington Post today.

If you can't access the link, please use incognito/private browsing mode.

Ublock origin plugin also works (zx1100e1).

so when will MS learn about updates and changing your settings?

So, I did a lot of genealogy work on my Win 10 PC today and left a bunch of windows open to continue working on after din-din. When I came back after a couple of hours, I noticed that I now had a picture as a screen saver instead of a blank (black) screen.

did you ever fall for 0%?

I'm the type who has to touch the stove and get burned.

Yesterday I made a payment of over $9k to pay off a credit card debt once and for all.

It's bittersweet.

When my son was born I got a 0% for 18 mos credit card--that was over 7 years ago.

The idea was whatever the spend was every month, I was going to put that much into savings. After 18 mos., pay it off.
