i log in to my google account from my favorites and see My places .
i try to send to my nuvi 760 which is connected to my usb and when i try to send to my GPS - the only option i see is e-mail

Growing up in a mid-west farming community through the 70's and leaving for the military in the mid-80's; one of my hobbies was collecting maps. It didn't matter what it was for, a state, a country, city, state park, or counties and even lakes.

I'm in the market for a new laptop PC computer for the first time in 7 years, during which time I have not been paying attention to new developments. I'm not sure about how to judge new components, processors, memory, etc. Can anyone give me the address of a site or forum that can get me up to speed?

I recently got an Email from Garmin advertising their new 2009 map update. When I tried to purchase it on-line I was refused because they only sell it the US, UK and Ireland. I contacted Garmin via email, but didn't get a response as yet. Anybody know why they can't sell their 2009 map update to Canadians?

No, I'm not talking about the one for a GPS. But I figured y'all have dealt with various mounting devices, and are the right people to ask.

Anyone know of a good way to mount a toll transponder (EZ-tag, Expresstoll, etc) on the windshield with a suction cup without having to use the semi-permanent adhesive tape?

Anyone seen some kind of mounting bracket for this?

What's your opinion on someone who downloads a POI file from a website like this one and then uploads it to another POI website and claims credit for creating the file?

I don't actually own a GPS, yet. I've been borrowing my Dad's - a Garmin C340 - on an as needed basis.

I need to find what is the best way to verify an address. When I enter an address into geocoder, teraserver or any of them they don’t always agree. I enter an address into Google Maps and usually can view the location on the satellite view but don’t know how to convert that to latitude / longitude. Is there a site that when I find the location I want that will display the coordinates?

Does anyone know what the approximate weight sensitivity of the sensor is? I have been at some interesections trying to turn left with a motorcycle and the combination of me and the bike at ~600lbs would not trip the sensor to make the light turn green. I've had to wait for another vehicle to trip it for me so I was wondering if the bike will not trip a green light, would it trip the camera?

I just updated my Garmin C340 with the traffic/red light camera. I put in the gps but my question is will it automatically show up on the map when I'm driving. Not really sure how this works.

I have a Garmin C330 that is getting old. I need another one for my other car. With all new stuff coming out I will need your advise on what to get. As I've mentioned in the title..the cheapest yet most bang for the buck GPS.

This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related, you can discuss whatever you would like, as long as it is clean. Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.
