When I go to the alert sounds library and find an alert sound that I want to add to my POI file - How do I make a file of that sound? I know it has to be .mp3 and have the exact file name as my .csv but how do I make that sound into an mp3 file to begin with??

I am looking for another GPS. I currently have a street pilot C340 and I really like it. I want one with a large display to keep in our motorhome. I am leaning towards a street pilot 7200 but would like input (good or bad) on that model or any others you would like to recommend.

I tried to open a program that is not Garmin GPX Converter and I get the screen showing that it is installing. When I click cancel my original program beings to run fine. What seems to be corrupt?

I have noticed there are errors on the Love's Travel Stops POI. I am willing to make the necessary changes to the file. I am not so sure which is the best method to make the changes. I have downloaded the Excel file and I am very familiar with Excel. My question is which is the easiest and fast way to reference all of the coordinates within the file?

Can anyone tell me how to delete all the info in my favorite folder on the unit .I loaded a file on camping sites and I did not put it at the right place ,There is 771 names plus my own addresses

Even though TomTom demonstrated a nav application on the new iPhone (which has a built-in GPS chip), it looks like Apple may forbid it. The software development kit now excludes applications that do navigation. Perhaps Apple hopes to sell its own GPS software for the iPhone?

Cape's Performance Center In Niles Ohio has been sold and is no longer a Triumph dealer. Maybe the keeper of POIs could remove them. If some other dealer in the area surfaces I will send a note.

This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related, you can discuss whatever you would like, as long as it is clean. Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.

I'm back from my vacation. The weather was great and we had a great time.

Having my GPS unit with me on the trip was great even though I've been there before.

I'm slowly trying to get back into the normal swing of things, but the time zone changes are tough.

My new car has a plug in for a mp3 player. I would like to connect my nuvi to it to play the audio from the nuvi through the car's stereo system. Can anyone tell me where to buy a wire with double male ends ends so Ican connect the two?

Can anyone point me to some figures about the current market that the Portable devices such as the Garmins and Toms Toms (Ones that can accept custom POIs) have here in the US?? I found a few articles but they are from 2005 or from the UK and Europe??

I am not looking for the hand helds but rather the Nuvis etc for cars and turn by turn directions...Sorry for the confusion!

I obviously have an illness of sorts. An obsession. I find myself reading this forum every few hours throughout each and every day. And sometimes finding myself wandering to other GPS sites, as well. All over a little device that tells me how to get to a specific destination (albeit, not always the best way).
