Hot & Cold?

Does keeping my Garmin in my vehicle all the time, meaning during summer and winter effect or damage the unit?

Per Garmin

According to the FAQ on the Garmin website: "Garmin strongly recommends operating and storing the nuvi unit between the temperature range of 32°F to 140°F (0°C to 60°C)."

I never leave mine in the car, hot or cold.

EDIT: Jerry beat me! Watch out for Fay!!

.

Yeah, never leave it in the car unless the car is in a protected environment.

Ditto

LCD's aren't meant be exposed to temp and humidity extremes, nor are lithium ion batteries. After all, it's an expensive piece of equipment, why risk it?
