I have a 650 and a 750. I purchased the 750 a month or two ago, it seems that it is not as bright as my 650... Can this be true or is there something wrong with my 750? Or my eyes? I have the brightness turned up, so it isn't that.

Ok, the question has to be asked. How will the bail out plan, or lack off, effect your traveling plans.

If you have no brand loyalty to GPS products, live in a location with a Fry's Electronics store and are looking for a usable beanbag mount, Fry's is currently selling a Gilsson Universal Beanbag mount in-store for $12.99 before tax. The website does not appear to be selling them online however.

Just curious; if we participate in a thread that gets deleted...politics or censorship, for example...and it is our only participation for the week...do we still get to keep our windmill? :)

I was just pondering something I'd like to see on a GPS unit - Some basic "Astronomical" data - times for sunrise, moonrise, etc. There's also something called Civil Twilight and Astronomical Twilight. Civil twilight is generally the time it gets dark enough to NEED headlights when on the road, and astronomical twilight when its dark enough to start seeing a few stars, at least with a telescope.

Here I've waited for midnite to roll around and Monday Sept 23d to begin, just so I could post.

You mean Miss Poi does not stay up just to begin the next weekly Chit Chat thread? I'm shocked and speechless. Disillusioned. Like there is no Santa.

Hello All

I was looking for a case/cover for my Garmin 760 and i noticed an advertisement for a GPS sock.

I know that the Garmin Nuvifone is scheduled to be released next year with true GPS, not A-GPS. In the meantime, are there any other GPS cell phones right now that get GPS signals from the satellites rather than cell phone towers?

Just updated my Nuvi-260 to firmware 5.0 and noticed another update that was available called "GPS Chipset Type B."
Can someone please tell me what this is and whether you recommend the update.
Any help would be appreciated.
