I just purchased a new car and am adding in-dash Navi. The problem is I can't decide which to add for traffic, I can use either one. Has anyone here used both types of receivers that can tell me why one is better than the other? I have a SP c550 and I have the FM receiver which I love. I love that I now have a lifetime subscription. Why would XM radio/traffic be better than the FM receiver?

I'm trying to decide if I should buy the MSN® Direct Receiver / GDB 50 or just subscribe to Total Traffic Network. Has anyone tried the MSN Direct Service or NAVTEQ Traffic™?? How is it??

Navteq must have just updated their maps database. On Microsoft's Live Maps site they are using the Navteq map database and now for the first time my subdivision and the one next to us are finally included. TeleAtlas maps on Google maps have had them both for months.

I would think that this is the new database that will be available next week when Garmin rolls out the lifetime maps option.

What happened to user generated traffic?

I'm experiencing a problem on my Nuvi 880, with dual song entries, in some of the song lists, on my 8gb micro SDHC card.

When I browse by artist and look through the songs (for that artist) I'm seeing double entries for some of the songs, in the list.

I can't seem to figure out how to correct the "double song entries" in the list.

Ok, my wife tells me that I don't visit my mother-in-law often enough.

I told my wife I entered her mother's address into my GPS once and for some reason, the GPS couldn't find it.

So I'm thinking that it might make a good project for someone on POI FACTORY to start a new POI project, listing all our mother-in-law's addresses.

Just something to ponder.....I remember a few years ago a friend of mine designed GPS' We were telling him that GPS' should have this and that (BLUETOOTH to SD Card to MP3 Players). Sure enough it's standard now.

So what would you add to new GPS'?
