This week we are recognizing Sewisdom.
Sewisdom, You have become the group teddy bear. Always there to lend a helping hand, and pat someone on the back for a job well done. You have contributed 13 new sounds to the site in the last few weeks and I just wanted to say thanks for all that you do.

Chit Chat Thread for the week of November 03, 2008
This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related, you can discuss whatever you would like, as long as it is clean. Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.
Have fun...
This thread will be closed on Monday and a new one will be opened.

WALMART
This facepaint for kids, sold by Walmart, contains lead. It says it right on the package. What ?! Maybe it's the tubes that contain the lead, not the paint? Doesn't sound right. Well, at least it doesn't smear. Large version, inside.

GPS and San Antonio
So, I may be transfering down to San Antonio for work and was wondering how accurate the GPS will be. I know with all the construction on the 410 and side access roads along 410 and 35, just wondering if the GPS jumps around alot? I was there in 2005 for work, but can't recall.

No Mio forum on this board?
Hello all,
I was surprised to see that there is no Mio talk forum on this board. Are we supposed to put Mio talks under other GPS brands? I would think Mio has enough users to warrant it's own talk forum. Are there other Mio users around here?
Thanks.

Cities say I-985 would end red light cameras
TACOMA, Wash. -- Several cities say they will have to turn off their red light cameras if Initiative 985 passes.
The measure on Tuesday's ballot in Washington requires that revenue from the tickets go to a fund to reduce traffic congestion.

This week we are recognizing Fpichon.
Fpichon, You are my go to guy for red light and speed camera location in AZ. You are always on top of things and I was so excited to have you as the project lead for last weeks update. You did a great job sorting through all the reports and getting locations for the file.

Problems Logging In
I am a new user and cannot stay logged in to POI-Factory, and often cannot log in at all from my home PC. When I try to login I don't get an error message. It just shows me the login and password fields again. I can get access from my work PC, but that's not an optimum solution.
I use Win XP, IE7, ZoneLabs Security Suite.

Navigon & POI-Warner
Hello, I'm new to GPS and this forum. As a gift my company recently gave me a Navigon 2000s. So far I'm liking it but am interested in adding more POI files. After a LOT of searching/investigting it seems like my options to upload my own POI files are POI-Warner or nothing. Can anyone else with a Navigon confirm? Are there ANY other options (i.e. open source)?
Thanks, Rick

Radar detector with preloaded POIs on it
When it comes to the best radar detector out there, by far it is the Escort 9500ix radar detector. Not only does it detect all forms of radar and laser the cops use to lock on to your speed, but now it is the first to come with preloaded Poi's of red light and speed camera locations. I personally use this radar detector and have not received a ticket in months.
