We are seeing a lot of new members on these forums. I think it is great. They all have one thing in common. They all found, stumbled upon, found a link, etc. to the POI factory. I think that I saw a link on a review of GPSs, on line. I have told my friends by word of mouth.

I put it off for a long time, but with the rising gas prices I thought maybe MSN Direct would be good investment. However, it looks as if I may have thrown my money away. While I don't get reception at my home, I do get good strong reception in the areas I drive most (Ventura & Oxnard CA).

I was just thinking about vacation and couldn't help my self with this file.....

i was searching to buy a Nuvi 680 and did online searches for the best prices (such as below)

i found 2 companies where the price was $259 and was shown as available in stock

Is any body here riding a scooter to save gas? I am especially interested in those new under $1000 dollar ons.

I don't know who tried to download these files...but POI loader will let me download my 121k plus files except for these...I've also ignored all of the files and tried to just download these and the loader will not let me. My guess is there is a bad file in these GPX. files.

I just loaded a few poi from the site yesterday and I've tried to use POI loader to enter them in my GPS unit and its been atleast 5 minutes and the POI's have still not loaded...any ideas?

New owner to the world of handheld GPSr. My Nuvi 760 is waiting at home for me. I'll get my hands on her in another week. Been using Street Atlas for a couple of years now( wife and I do the RV thing), just wanted something a little more convienient to carry around and transfer between vehicles.

Just wanted to say hello to everyone.

For the hams out there who have a Kenwood TM-V71A or 710A, and you've made up or bought the programming cable, its pretty easy to take the POI files in the Ham area and rearrange them to import into the radio using the MCP-2a program.

This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related, you can discuss whatever you would like, as long as it is clean. Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.

I just got my new Nuvi 760 and decided to put it through its paces, so I put it side by side with my 680 and made a 20 mile trip and set the route in motion. Both had the same map (2009), same setting for Fastest travel and both set for 'More' map display. The only difference I could tell was the 680 had MSN traffic and the 760 had TMC.

Hi! I'm RoadGypsy and new to this site. I currently own a Garmin c530 and am considering purchasing a new GPS.

This week we are recognizing Sewisdom, Charlesd45 and Bluestring.

Does anyone know if there a a Scrub a Dub or US Car wash POI file???
