outside salesperson looking for easy upload of multiple waypoints with optimization

I use a Tom Tom Go now and its fine for just getting from here to there, but I need to get out and see batches of customers very efficiently in the coming months to distribute samples. I work in LA which is lots of freeways etc and lots of driving so I'd like to be able to dump a list of 20 or more stops into a gps and have it optimize the most efficient route to hit them all in a single day. I also need to be able to easily flush those out and upload a new list. Ideally if I could upload wirelessly that would be cool. What am I looking for? Would a Garmin Nuvi 760 be a good choice for me?

nüvi 765T includes advanced navigation features to take the worry out of traveling. With route planning you can save 10 routes, specify via points and preview simulated turns on the 765T's wide screen. In addition, nüvi 765T automatically sorts multiple destinations to provide an efficient route for errands, deliveries or sales calls

Any of the nuvi 7xx should suit your purposes just fine.

Wirelessly isn't going to happen, though.

You will either need to input them on a computer and transfer them as Waypoints/Favorites or Custom POIs and transfer them from the computer to the unit with the software.

Or you can input them manually on the unit.

Or you can send them from MapQuest or Google Maps online.

I'm familiar with using a program called Streetwizard for plotting and planning destinations. In that program, I can filter to a city and then circle the address pushpoints inside the city and have the program optimize that filtered list of addresses into a route.

How would I do the same with the Nuvi?
