This was sent to me from a friend in Milwaukee so I thought I would pass it on to any of the group that lives in Milwaukee or the surrounding area.

I am trying to make gmail my automatic email account that it will send a message from. If I go to lets say craigslist to buy a gps and I click on the email name I want gmail to send an email from my account. I am using windows vista and safari. Please help me asap.

Besides the obvious use for directions what other good uses have you found for your GPSr?

While driving I like being able to see the est. time of arrival.

Seeing how much farther to the destination.

Being told ahead of time which way to turn.

Being able to use POIs.

Other uses?

I just picked up a Garmin 255W today. I'm new to the whole GPS thing. But so far I'm pretty impressed with this unit and how much tweaking can be done to customize it. I did my map update and have installed some new poi's. Looks like fun!!

In yesterdays local paper they outlined a plan to add 10 red light cameras to the downtown Roanoke, VA area. They used the example of Norfolk, VA where the red light cameras decreased the number of accidents at certain intersections. It's supposed to go through later this year.

Just wondering if anyone....now that you've installed the Traffic and Speed camera POI's...has gotten a ticket because you missed hearing the warning sound or spotting the screen icon on your particular GPS?

I downloaded a home depot alert Sound mp3 file to my Gps unit Nuvi 885t , however when i reach the destination i hear no alert.
Note: My proximity alerts is active and all files are the same..Home depot.csv, Home depot.mp3

Ok, so I haven't played around with my GPSr for awhile. Can anyone tell me the best way to suck in a POI file into something so that I can see where all the POIs are on a map.

I want to check a few of my "attractions" POI files to see if we will be going close to any of them while traveling up to Rochester, NY tomorrow.

I was successful downloading poi files and have them working on my garmin 465t.

I just can't download the mp3 files,every time i double click on the attachment,all it does is play the sound without downloading the file.

Also I've heard of a TourGuide file,where do i find it.

I am trying to find a website that could possibly give me speed limits for streets within a city. I have gone to the city websites and none of them have any information on speed limits.
