#7 Not so late

I'm not as late as I have been being. Guess having to get up and take grandkinds to school for my daughter helps start my day off earlier. Not sure is that's so good!!!

I'm still learning how to use my new computer and Windows 7! Hooking up a home network is very hard unless all machines are running Win 7. I've spent many hours getting the machines to talk to each other and use the joint printer.

1300

My daughter got back from Europe where she had taken my brand new nuvi 1300 for 5 weeks. I got to use it for 2 days before it died. Luckily it worked great for her, but now I lost the saved locations she had set for us in Germany. But at least I still have the Europe map for my new replacement 1300.

Monday blahs

I've got those dreaded Monday blahs!

--
Garmin nuvi 855, nuvi 1450, and DriveDeluxe 50

NWS is reporting

71 degrees here in the Phoenix area this afternoon.

I just drove down from Las Vegas and cannot wait until the bridge across the Colorado River at Hoover Dam is completed.

I spent 2 hours and 20 minutes in a single file line of traffic nearly 4 miles long waiting to cross the dam so tourists could ogle and photograph the structure last week.

The sad part is that I know how bad traffic can be at Hoover over the holidays and I usually take an alternate route, but my co-pilot of 37 years convinced me the alternate route was too much more of a trip!

A great week and a Happy and Prosperous New Year to all on the forum.

Back to school!

Most of my students made it back to school today and for a Monday it went well, we can only hope that the rest of the school year goes well!

Don't want to hear

Don't want to hear about the great weather. In Texas we don't normally have too much, or too long cold. I am (well over 60) and have never seen snow on the ground so long. I live out in the sticks and the snow we had Christmas Eve is still in a few areas along the side of the roads. It's suppose to be 10 to 15 degrees here Thursday!!! I think the global warming is turning into global freezing.

grin
