Engineers develop car that gets 3,000 mpg
If gas keeps going up in price and the supplies run out, we could all be driving one of these. LOL - not me! A semi would turn it into powder.
http://video.foxnews.com/v/1530331492001/engineers-develop-c...
But, seriously, projects like this will lead to break thrus that get passed to production models and we the consumers benefit.

This week we are recognizing Motorcycle Mama.
As a seasoned veteran to this site Motorcyle Moma has participated in a great many discussions on GPS and POI troubleshooting.
She can be counted on to ask problem specific questions and to point users in the right direction for online resources.
Thank you for all you do for our community!

Gas Prices - UP Again
Gas prices are rising again, with little expectation of the increase slowing. Every year or two we seem to have an "event" that triggers a surge - Katrina, the BP blowout., etc. and the price of a barrel of oil jumps. But four years ago, oil was at $140+ per barrel and now it is "only" around $105 - $110.

iPad 3 (New iPad) first impressions>>>
for those of you interested, I've been using one for a few days now. The graphics (pictures/videos) are spectacular; far better than any previous version and far better than my Toshiba Satellite laptop or Acer Netbook. The processor speed is better, though truthfully, it only really matters so far in picture editing and watching videos, neither of which I do much of on an iPad.

States starting to crack down on some revenue streams
This isn't about traffic cameras, but it does point out that there are towns that do rely on traffic tickets as a way to fund the local government. One town in the article was cleaning up.

Toothpick Model of San Francisco
Toothpick Model of San Francisco
You've probably made model houses out of popsicle sticks with your children. This man made a model of the entire city of San Francisco . And he decided to use toothpicks. He used more than 100,000 toothpicks, and it took 35 years to build. Not only is it huge, you can take tours using little plastic balls. Prepare to be amazed. Click below:

Fastest Car In The World: 267mph
A neighbor sent me the link to this video of a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport traveling 431kph (267mph). I cannot imagine traveling at that speed on the ground. The fastest ground speed I have attained in a car is 114mph and that was in a former colleagues Z28 back in the late 1980's.

CNBC article mentions POI Factory
CNBC.com has run an article titled 'Speeders Beware: Cities With The Most Speed Traps ( http://www.cnbc.com/id/46343896 ) in which they list the ten cities with the most red light cameras...where a handful CNBC says: "according to POI Factory" in the sidebar information.
Pretty cool to see POI Factory get recognition in an article by big media.
Politicians and Diapers must be changed often for the exact same reason...
