k, well I bought a couple of nuvi's on our Boxing Day Sales so I put my nuvi 250W up for sale on kiijii. Typical emails saying I am interested that lead to zilch, than a guy today who sets up a meeting with me to buy it. Calls me on my way down says I am $20 short I will go home to get money from my kid (odd in itself unless it is for this kid).

Most of us know the answer to this one. Some don't and that's a good reason to post it. But how do you find out who got one? No, i'm not clicking each week, i'll be here all day. I got one of these. When? No idea, didn't write it down. JM?

Planning to go to Puerto Rico for some recreation. Checked my Nuvi 350 & 1350. No updates in several years on each. The 350 shows much more details of road, say around Arecibo than the 1350, as well as the rest of the country. Wonder why the newer model by several years is poorer in map detail.

Nothing like getting a NEW TomTom VIA after Christmas, and having to re-learn everything, to get it set-up like Garmin was.
At-Least I rememberd this site, and my log-in. Now I guess I get to play on this site again.

I would like to see a "Remember me button". Sometimes I have to close the site up and it would be nice to get back in without logging in.

As i am new to this site, I have had some experience creating databases and map objects for first responders all over the country.

I am an EPA/NOAA CAMEO Instructor and currently work as an adjunct instructor for LSU.

We have a tremendous amont of data that gets generated for classes and would love to have a clearinghouse here amongst your sets.

Just got a garmin 3790 for christmas and trying to find interesting this to do with it.

the whole poi thing sounds cool..beside the red light cams of course..

what are some of the popular ones?

If I heard correctly on the evening news today, speed cameras are expected to increase from 22 to 72 in early 2012. I guess the County needs more revenue. I also heard that some old cameras would be retrofitted to operated with Lidar rather than radar.

Can anybody confirm what I heard?

CES 2012 is less than a month away now. What GPS or other electronic devices would you like to see announced?

If I should just keep it or upgrade it to a better one.. Would love to hear your opinion on this!!

Wondering how many members here are active in amateur radio.
