Founding Fathers

This morning, I read an article in Newsweek titled "The Founding Fathers, Unzipped". It lays bear some historical facts about a few of these revered gentlemen that calls into question whether opponents of Automated Traffic Enforcement should invoke their memory when railing against ATE and citing articles - whose facts they have not checked by reading the source documents.

Something to think about this weekend as you celebrate your " Nations" Birthdays

The flag does not fly because the wind moves past it. The flag flies from the last breath of each military member who has died protecting it. Our soldiers don't fight because they hate what's in front of them...they fight because they love what's behind them." Do you support your troops.

Thanks to all (Gary0825)

I haven't been on as much as I normally am for the past few weeks, lots of tests, etc. Tomorrow is the big day for Surgery and I just wanted to say thanks for all the help that everyone has provided for the past year or so.
Special thanks to Miss POI - You have created the most user friendly site around. Also - Gary Hayman for all his tips and tricks - they are the best.

Can't Access Phonebook on Garmin 3790LMT

I used to be able to access my smartphone's contacts list as a phonebook in my Garmin 3790LMT when it is paired via Bluetooth.

Near Earth Asteroid to pass closer than GPS satellites

A recently discovered Near Earth Asteroid will be passing close to the earth on June 27th. This small rock, only about 30 feet across poses no danger to the earth. And, while not being the closest approach ever known, passing a comfortable 7,500 miles up, this one will be closer than the GPS satellite constellation orbiting the earth.

Sequence Route in Garmin

I need to create a sequence route for daily travels. It may include 20+ points. I need to be able to plan this route and put it in a sequence from closest to the most distant. I need to be able to keep stops zoned in an area so that I do not travel all over the place. Is there software or a way to do this with a Garmin 1450LMT? Thank you in advance for your information.

newbie adding pois

Have a garmin 1450lmt.

Do I have to match an icon with each file? Can I merge say all the starbucks, dunkin donuts, and jim hortons into one file and just have a coffee icon? If so, how and in what program would you do that?

Can ya tell I'm new to this?

Destinations and Via Points

On my Garmin I am able to input a primary destination and also a secondary via point. The main issue I am encountering is that I am guided to my via point destination, but then when I travel to the primary point, the Garmin keeps trying to take me back to the via point destination. In order to get to the primary point, I have to reset the travel to primary travel point.
