Moving up in the world again
Midwest has cooled off from typical hot and humid summer. Nice California beach weather, at least for a few days.
Charged up the Oregon & eTrex30 last night ... heading off for some local hiking.
Enjoy the week all.
Hope everyone had a Great Weekend!
Hard to believe that July is almost over.....Summer is definitely flying by!
safe,and great week to all.
and rest of the week.
do it, have a great week everybody!!
Weather looking great this week in Washington DC
Have a safe week!
Hope everyone has a great week !
And stay cool in more ways than one - happened to witness a case of road rage the other day - driver trying to cut another driver off the road, I think just because the aggrieved driver was going the speed limit (exactly) and the "idiot" wanted to go faster !
Oh, I didn't mention - "idiot" was at the side of the road about 10 miles further with some flashing lights behind him ! What a shame ! (not)
Another new week, have a good one everyone.
Hpoe everyone has an awesome week.
Have a great week everybody.
Have a great week
Have a safe week, people.
Stay dry out there.
Geez, where did July go?!?
Finally nice enough outside to wash the truck. But damn, didn't finish it in time before the wife came home and wanted me to wash her minivan.
Another week, another dollar.
gary where did you get your power supply and how hard is it to replace?
When the CompUSA chain went out of business a few years ago, tigerdirect.com bought them for their brick & mortar stores. I went to my local TigerDirect store & bought one.
The PS that was in the tower was only 400W. There was no need for me to get a really huge PS, so I got a 430W unit for ~$40.
I took the physical dimensions of the existing PS to make sure this new one would fit in the tower, which it did. They are pretty much standard. The only problem I knew I was going to have was the mounting holes in the tower were not the same as the holes in the new PS. New screws were included.
Once I had the old PS out, I was able to slide the new PS in place and mark the back of the tower case and drill a couple of different holes to line up with the mounting holes in the PS. Depending on the PS opening in the sheet metal of your tower, you may have to do other cutting/drilling. Maybe not.
It probably took me an hour to drill the new holes, mount the PS and route the cables to the various devices.
You also have to check the number and type of power connectors your PC currently has to make sure you pick a PS with enough matching connectors.
Here is the PS that worked for me:
If you are at all handy doing fix-ups around the house, this shouldn't be difficult.
... glad I was able to repair my roof prior to the rain
Have a great week everyone !
First time signing in on the Monday for quite some time. Maybe this short lull in the busy season will help me remember these things.
another week already? time ticks by faster and faster as i get older and older. *sigh*
... and what the heck happened to summer?
it's the dog's fault
Not too humid today.
Hope summer comes back!
Have been enjoying these cooler summer days!
More rain here today.
Was in earlier, but got telecall and disrupted my schedule..
Anyway, here I am and a good week to all of you.
Hope your weather is as nice as ours here on West Coast..

New PC build...what a pain setting everything up!
Happy Monday everyone!
Have a good Day everyone
Hi everyone. Stay cool.
makes the weeks go by faster than the work week.
Finished my Vegas to Phoenix commute a short time ago. No police presence to report the entire trip. Not even a chirp from the Escort.
Great week to all. Drive Safely.
One day gone and 4 more to go until the weekend.
