I noticed that there was an audio update(vers. 2.6) for the c330. I'm not going to install it because I don't need Brazilian Portuguese, but it got me thinking.

With the addition of a new language, I would assume that the new audio files will take up more space than the old set. If this is true, does this eat into available POI space?

Maybe I'm thickheaded, but I don't understand the purpose of the "detour" button.

The manual says "the unit calculates a new route and provides you with new instructions. The c330 attempts to get you back on your original route as soon as possible".

Garmin had plenty of time to implement the DST patch, why is it available for some devices and not others.

I figure all they need to do is put up with complaints for a few weeks which will buy them until Autumn to correct the issue.

I was wondering. I read on the info package that came with my Garmin. That I need to keep a set of battery within the unit to save Custom Waypoints. But my question, How long do I have between battery changes to change out the battery before all the memory is depleted.
I don't think that was mentioned in the User Guide.

First of all, I may need to add the Krispy Kreme POI file with proximity alerts. That would be useful (and fattening) on road trips.

I am having an issue when I switched to the beta version of the loader, and put my files into subfolders. On my c330, I see my subfolders, but when I try and access the actual files, I get an hour glass and then it returns to the main favorites menu.

i have a c 330 i downloaded the redlight camera file and it works great when i go to the custom poi button on the c 330 i can see the first 50 redlight cameras i then downloaded i file that had all the publix stores in my area now when i go to the poi button i see the publix stores and no redlight camera did this overwrite the redlight cameras on the gps or are they still there .

Does anyone know if the Nuvi line has stereo or mono speakers?

My 360 has the holes in the case for the "look" of stereo speakers, but I only hear sound from one side.

Anyone have a good recommendation about a case for the c330? I'm presently using a generic camera case, but something smaller and maybe fitted would be nice... Thanks!

Hi; I'm going on atrip to London & Germany in July and would like to know if there are less expensive map software for the Nuvi 660.

Paying $299 for Europe maps for a few days is kind of expensive...

I just purchased by Nuvi 660 and pretty much have everything up and running except for the memory card. I have a SanDisk 2gb card that is formated Fat 32 and works fine in my Treo 700 and other card readers that I have. The card is also recognized by my computer when I put it in the Nuvi 66O and plug it in to the competer via the USB connection.

Still no DST update for the Nuvi 350. All other Garmins have been updated but the 350. I don't understand how they can forget about the Nuvi 350 users. It may be one of the oldest Nuvi models out there but I'm guessing that the 350 users out number all the rest put together.Could it be they just forgot about us?

Does anyone know when Garmin is releasing updates to the internal maps? My nuvi 350 does not have some of the new roads in NW Raleigh.

I still tinker with my Nuvi while driving. I would push the screen fewer times if there was an option to get back to the navigation map (instead of clicking "Back" to get to "View map").

Anyone know if that is even possible?

Anyone know if there is a faceplate out there that has a visor on it to shield it from the sun a little? I use my C530 on my bike (motorcycle) and it would be nice if the front of the unit had a small visor on it.

Please be gentle with me? I am a new user in the life of gps. I am learning and growing. I am having a hard time learning how POI files work, I mean I realize the intention. I just need some support. When I load these POI files to my device, would I need additional space on my sd card? Also are there any speed limit alerts and school zones for my area? I am lost.

Just passing this on in case anyone else has been waiting for MapSource ...

I requested from Garmin support the MapSource software to go with my new c530 two weeks ago, but it hasn't shown up yet.

I called support tonight, and the rep said the disc has been out of stock for 3 weeks. They hope to get more within a week or so, but no guarantees of course.
