Suction Cup

i've used water or if i'm lazy to go get water "SPIT". it seems to work and hasn't fallen off. I'm in houston and it's been in the high 80's to high 90's. not so hot for some i guess but that's really hot to me. i like it cold.

I have also found that adding moisture to the suction cup helps. Be it gov't issued H20 or biological H20, they both work well.

Try a thin layer of glycerin on the suction cup. It is good for the rubber and keeps the cup moist without evaporating.

I use chap-stick.

I found that water made the cup bond with the window. >:(

Probably wouldn't want to use spit. Works for a short time, but over a long period of time, it actually makes it worse. Use the chapstick, vasaline, etc to make it stick.

I will try the Vasoline solution, hopefully this will work

Well after trying all the above solutions nothing seemed to help. SO I spoke with Garmin and it appears that there is an updated suction cup and mount for the Nuvi series. They are sending one in the mail to me at no charge. I'll update after I receive the piece.

Please update us when you get the new suction cup.

Spittle always worked for me, you may also want to find an area of the windshield that is less curved. I.e, center of the windshield rather than the left or right side.

I had this problem this week with a rental car.
