Map installation on nuvi 270

Is it possible to download a USGS chart, install it on the Garmin 270 and enable GPS tracking on it. If so, please direct me to software etc. that provides this capability with plain language directions. Thanks.

Check out Garmin Topo Maps

If you get them on SD card, they are said to work with the Nuvis - but I can't find documentation to confirm...might be worth a call to Garmin support to confirm before buying.

For the nuvi you don't need the sendmap20.exe. Use MapSource or just copy the .img file to the Nuvi as Garmin/gmapsupp.img.
