On my Nuvi 350, the road I am being routed on is pink or purple. Other roads are red, orange and gray. What do the red and orange represent?

I have a nuvi 350 and I have multiple vehicle icons on it. Can anyone tell me how to get them off my nuvi?

First, an admission. I’m new at this and not having a tremendous amount of luck trying to find all the answers my questions (I’ve looked thru the FAQ’s and have done searches on this forum, but I’ve haven’t found everything I need to know).

How did those of you with Nuvi 760s get them already? Most vendors, including Amazon.com, won't even have them available until Jan. '08. Tiger Direct claims that they won't be available until later this month.

Okay, check this out. When the 680 first came out a number of us on this board were wondering if the TMC traffic receiver would work on the 680 which comes with the MSN traffic receiver.

I'm asking this question on behalf of my father who has a Garmin 660. His recent experience has been that the unit appears to be approximately 3 blocks off. Is this common?

Yesterday, I upgraded to the latest firmware on my Nuvi 200 and also loaded some custom POI's.

To plan my trip sometime I need to know the distance and route between the two address. How can I do that. GPS tells me the route only from my current location.

Additional question : Is it possible to keep log of the route I followed during my journey ?

whats the Attention Tones setting on my nuvi 360 for?

Just picked mine up today from Circus City. It is certainly different some I like some not a big deal. If you already have one of the 600's. You might want to wait and get some more opinions.

It does NOT support WAAS (even though a LOT of the on-line merchants claim it does). I am running it side by side with my 680 and will post more tomorrow or later this evening.

Changes made from version 5.70 to 6.00:

Fixed problem with the same map existing in two regions
Fixed issue with backlight when position is north of the Arctic Circle
Fixed issue with ejecting device from a Mac computer
Fixed issue where the avoidance option 'Unpaved Road' was not being saved

Are there any companies out there selling "Topo" maps that are compatable with the Nuvi 660 and maybe come on an SD card. It looks to me like the only units that will accept "Topo" maps are the hand held ones.

I noticed that when my father and I both got our Garmin's (I have a 350, he has the 660) they come from the factory with WAAS turned OFF. I turned it on, of course, in both units - thinking about the accuracy. But then I started thinking... why would they not have this on out of the box?

Here is the question: I just got an SD card with European maps. My Nuvi 660 recognizes it and will show me where I am.

Has anyone been able to purchase one? So far, I can't find them. I wonder when they will be released.

I have a trucker friend considering a nuvi 660. When vehicle selection is "truck" does it actually know which roads do not allow semis? Not much info is available on Garmin's site. GPS's made special for truckers that take all this into consideration are quite expensive, $2000 and up.

Hi, just bought Nuvi 200 and i noticed that while navigating, the map ( screen ) moved once every 2 second. For example, i would passed Park Ave. for about half block and the nuvi screen still show that im not at Park Ave. yet. Is this normal for Garmin GPS or do i have a defective unit? I use to have TomTom and the screen is very fast and accurate. Please help.

Does anyone else have a problem hearing the voice prompts on a Nuvi 360? I can bearly hear anything. I have it hooked upto my Ipod connector on my stereo system so that it comes through my car speakers, but I have to use the radio in aux mode and can't listen to music when it is that mode... Any solutions?
