Mass Storage (works on one computer but not the other)
I have a peculiar situation relative to mass storage.
My desktop will recognize my 3597, however the laptop will not using the same cable. Also using the same cable, both computers will go to mass storage for my Montana 610.
I have tried using several other cables, but it just doesn't help.
When connected to the laptop the 3597 does turn on, but does not go to mass storage.

Problematic POI (only shows 60)
I've downloaded the "Canadian Rockies Peak Finder" POI and although it is quite dated in age, the description states that there are over 1500 points listed. Now when I download it I only get 60, and Ive deleted the file and then reinstalled it (POI Loader ) numerous times and it still remains at that 60 points mark..am I to assume that it is just incorrect in the description?..

Large JVC file working on Nuvi 2599
I was reading about the large JVC file on the thread:
"What is the large Junction View file for Garmin On The Road devices and do I need or want it?"
And it says on there that :
"Melaqueman - May 7, 2016
Added an indication that the large JCV file may not work with the nuvi 2797"

Nuvi 2595LMT Traffic coverage
Hey all,
Does anyone know the coverage of Garmin's traffic service in Canada?.. forgive me I'm as still new to this whole traffic service thing but my unit has the built in receiver as apposed to it being on the power cable (if that makes a difference)
Planning a trip East into Manitoba and Ontario and would love this feature to work.

GE v.5.6.1.0 Download install problem
As posted today I tried to update my GE. First I did via GE update itself on two different laptops.
Went through all the motions and then said "Installation failed".
Next I downloaded GE from Garmin to laptop # 1 and installed it. No problem it installed GE v.5.6.1.0
Did a download from Garmin to my other # 2 laptop and this time it installed GE v.5.6.0.0

Downloading files (POI Loader / KML files)
Hi I am not very good with computers and hope someone could help.i have downloaded some poi files to my lap top and am now trying to download them to my camper 770 sat nav ,via POI loader. The problem is tha when I put the name of the files in the message there are no data files in that folder.please specify a folder that contains at least one file with a.csv or GPs extension. Comes up.

garmin streetpilot c550 (improvising a mount)
any suggestions? I have been searching for hrs for soln... my streetpilot c 550 works perfect, I dont want to replace it,,, however the ball socket is worn out, the plastic tabs have broken off,,,, any suggestions? I have tried to figure out a bracket but am coming up short....

Garmin express not installing on win10 computer with a .net fail
I re installed Win 10 on a Sony Vaio and cannot get Garmin Express to install. It worked before it was re installed. .net Framework seems to be the problem. I installed the .net repair tool but that never worked. Has anyone got a solution to this.

When I was poking around on the Garmin site today, I stumbled onto the Garmin Express download page and saw this message
Garmin Express is not compatible with your operating system.

POI Editor Question (some of my GPX records do not load)
I built a POI file for an upcoming trip from California to Florida, and loaded it to my GPS (Nuvi 2460lmt). In verifying that all the points where there in the file, I discovered that only about half of the POI file actually got loaded to the GPS. No rhyme of reason to which ones got loaded.

Just tried to update map on my Garmin nuvi 780. How do I know if the new map is in my 780?

New update found yesterday. Tried it out last night and it is definitely better.

I just received the following a few minutes ago. And, if I may add, good move, Garmin. I have often thought that the Garmin RINOs are neat devices, BUT over the top expensive. I do feel that there is a need for non-cellular communications for many people, but the price needs to be reasonable.

Using latest gps loder for garmin.
Installed some poi but, no image and no routing eather.
Named the image files same as the gpx.
File in coustum poi found on the gps.
I was using it indoors to check if I have set it up properly.
I have the file in coustum poi found on the gps.
what have i done, how do i fix it.

Garmin 265 WT gives me distance to next interstate even if I'm staying on current highway
Hi, I currently have a Garmin 265WT. The question I have is regarding the display. As an example if I am on a major highway and I am say 15 miles from the exit that I need to use , if there is a major intersection before my exit, it displays the distance to that major interstate/intersection even though I am not taking that specific route and it is not part of my route that I need.

Garmin keeps rebooting (Garmin Drive 51 USA LM)
I recently purchased a Garmin Drive 51 USA LM from Best Buy, first use after about 15 minutes it rebooted itself while I was using the navigation. Kept rebooting every 1-2 minutes. A total pain since you have to then press "Accept" and then "See Map" to get back to the nav screen. At least it wasn't losing my spot on the map.
When is best guess for next map update?
I was talking to someone who asked me this yesterday.......
Just nosy....
