Garmin Nuvi 660 Traffic info missing

I am not sure if I changed a setting or something is wrong with my Nuvi 660. I don't get my traffic info on the main map anymore. I can select the traffic icon and go to the traffic maps. They show up with the same info that seems current but the info and warning don't seem to show up on my main map page anymore nor do any warnings?

Any ideas?

Did you pay?

Maybe your free time has expired? If so you have to pay to continue getting it. crying

Traffic info

This sounds like an outstanding feature - where do you subscribe? On the Garmin web site?

BTW That's not the only ballgame in town

There are others available also...

edit:

Well maybe only one other: msn direct

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=203&pID=8526

Be sure to check compatability...

660 compatible

660 is not compatible with MSN direct. The FM traffic update costs $60 dollars for an year.

You need to input the Trafic receiver ID to purchase the service. The ID info can be retrieved by accessing the traffic icon.

You need to enter the unlock code to get one year subscription.

Hope this helps.

Is that the same as the unit ID?

My real question is can the service be moved to a different unit. Is it tied to the receiver or the unit?

Unit ID - Moving Traffic Service

I believe that the purchased traffic subscription can be moved to anotehr unit ... as long as the power cable/antenna/receiver is compatible. The subscription is linked to the cable/receiver and not the actual GPS.

Thanks for the info

It would be my luck the power cables will be changed...

Subscription is Current

I did buy another year. AND I do get the traffic info on the traffic page.

BUT I used to get some traffic info on the main page as well. But not now.... only on the Traffic page.

Garmin said that the unit never had any traffic info on the main page.

But I swear I saw it and used it all the time

On my 760

There is a traffic icon in the lower right side of the map page, that shows up when there is a traffic alert. I know it's there when it's not in guide mode, but the icon may not be if it’s guiding you… If you touch the icon it changes to the traffic alert map…

Only on Map when there's an alert

I have only seen the traffic icon on the map itself when there is an alert. Even with an alert, I have never seen the traffic icon on the main page.

I would LIKE to have it there, too.
