Garmin talk

I am looking for a car charger for my Streetpilot c550. Can someone lead me to a good and inexpensive site for Garmin accessories?

I am using my nuvi 760 and ever since the last software update i am very disappointed with it. When I put in a location #1 It does not calculate the route as the fastest or shortest it just seems to pick at random, and #2 I can go to an address from home and then press go home and it takes me sometimes 10 or 15 miles out of the way and a totally different route than which I came.

anyone have this problem, seems to be a lose connection from the car charger to the cradle. if i move it i get power for a second, then it cuts out, going to call garmin, the power/traffic cords are expensive, i just leave it in the car, dont know if its a loose wire or contact. the lighter end is good. the lights are on.

Looking at replacing my c330. There are great deals on the Nuvi 200 @ Walmart -$97, Nuvi 250 @ New Egg-$100 but no deals on the 205. Is the 205 the latest model? I can't seem to find much of a difference between these 3 units except that the Nuvi 200 and 205 mention "regional maps" rather than "North America" as the 250 does? What is a "regional map"?

Due to some issues with my old 750, I now have a new one with Software version 4.30- GPS SW Version 2.80m.
Has anyone else seen this version yet? Garmin's site
does not have it listed as the most recent version, nor can I find any reference as to what was "correct/updated"
in 4.30.... just curious.

How do I remove a poi from a NUVI 350.
I added a poi to the 350 and found out there were 2 copies installed by accident.

I drove on 21 November 2009 from Toronto to Edmonton via States - Chicago, North Dakota then Edmonton. It was amazing, I have Nuvi 680. Only challenge is I dont have updated camera and I am not active user, lol. So, I wont get it free, I guess.

I downloaded A new voice for my device. I installed the file in the correct folder. Yet it does not show the custom voice in the list of possible voices.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Last night my friend recommand StreetPilot 2720 to me, as this type support multi-way point, and can use MapSource in computer. But in the past two weeks, I want buy nuvi 750, I need the function of route. And I also want use MapSource in conputer. Which type should I select? Can anyone give me suggest? Thanks a lot.

I just ordered a Garmin 750, and was wondering something.
I can't seem to find this answer searching on-line or in the on-line product manual.

Can you disable voice navigation on a Garmin nuvi 750?
I ask, because I could see myself driving to work each day and wanting to listen to the MP3 player without
the interruptions at every turn.

I leave my Nuvi plugged in all the time in my car. So it's always getting charged. Three times now I've received a 'low battery' warning. Twice when I have shut the car off and AFTER I get the message to power off or not. Once when I removed it from the mounting to enter some information.

Sunday, November 23... the last day I saw my NUVI 660. I lent it to a friend and she called me later that evening to tell me that it had been stolen from her vehicle in a parking lot at a swim center in North Bethesda/Rockville Maryland.

Price is after rebates and or promo discounts. They sent me a e-mail with the price so if you are in the market for a cost effective nuvi this is hard to beat.

I received an email from Garmin. Got a free update for my free nuvi 270...

I was wondering according to Garmin and there nuMaps Guarantee there may be updated maps for nuvis within 60 Days or registration and acquisition.

With Forum assistance I managed to attach an mp3 to a .csv & .bmp setup for a speed POI. Works very well indeed.

Question: Can one attach an mp3 to a place POI i.e. say Church.csv, Church.bmp & Church.mp3??

I do not seem to be able to get this type to work as I approach the relevant Church.
