A couple of Nuvi 265T questions

After using a Street Pilot C330 for a couple of years (and being very happy with it) I decided to upgrade to something with a few more features. Went with the Nuvi 265T. I love it but am hoping some of you who have more experience with the nuvi can answer a couple of questions.

1. One thing the c330 could do that the nuvi doesn't, at least I can't find a setting for it, is a setting for an "Attention Tone" before the audio directions are spoken. This may be a feature few people use, but since I'm a little hard of hearing, the alert tone helped me to pay close attention as soon as the voice started. Not a biggie if the nuvi doesn't do it, but if it does I'd be interested to know how to turn it on.

2. Before purchasing the nuvi I'm almost sure I read somewhere here about loading wav files along with poi's. (I know the 265T doesn't support mp3 files) Does the 265T support wav files or did I imagine this.

Thanks for any info you can give me.

It Worked!

Although I didn't know what a .sox file was I had no problem downloading or installing it. Thanks for the good instructions. The POI Loader worked just as it should have with the wav file.

Now I need to find a better audio converter (free) The one I downloaded clips off the end of the audio.

Again, Thanks for your help!

Update: I found a better converter. Everything is working great.

Try this http://www.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php .Just type in what you want it to say and follow the instructions to download. No converting required. It will be a wav file.I use it for most all of my alerts with wav.
