simulator garmin 205w help

ok i download poi files and installed them in my unit. i want to see how it works and looks for the new spots i have installed but the simulator says its going to take me 30 min to get there. is there a way to speed up the simulator or get closer to my spot i want to see. i want to see the icon and hear the sound for the new spot i put in.
Add a test location near
Add a test location near your house with the icon and sound so all you have to do is drive less then a block.

ok........im a newbie so how would i do that?
how would i add a test site witha campground icon and sound???????
an alternative way
In simulator mode you can tell the Garmin where you are (or where you say you are, the satellite signal isn't being used). So it might be a lot simpler to just tell the GPS that you are near the point that you want to test and go to it from there than to build a new point just for testing.

I am using Nuvi 255W and I am sure your 205W have similar interface.
A)
Put your nuvi in Simulator mode by going in to Tools, Settings, System. Select GPS Simulator ON and click OK. Then go back to main Screen.
B)
Click on View Map and browse the map by dragging your finger across the screen and click on the street on which your POI is on. Click on that street from where you want your simulator and select Set Location. That will be your starting point. Now you can select another point on the other side of your POI on the same street and select GO.
If your alert is set right, it should work.
