I fired up an old laptop for some Windows updates and after doing all that, decided to update Garmin Express from 7.5 to the current 7.6. I was surprised that GE 7.5 said it was the lastest version. I then uninstalled 7.5 and downloaded GE straight from Garmin and ran it. It installed 7.5 and once again, showed no update to 7.6.

Hi. I looked through the FAQ's, my owners manual, searched the internet and this website but couldn't find the answer. I apologize if the questions have been asked or the answer is obvious.

I recently bought a Garmin Drive 52M.

1.) Where is "Cities" located in the "Where To" interface?

I have been shopping for a water resistant Garmin for use on an ATV. It looks like Garmin uses IPX ratings. I gather that the higher the number on an IPX rating, the more resistant to water it is.

Right now I am still using my Garmin Nuvi 500. Yes, it does still work, but it has some limitations at this point.

I don't know if anyone else noted but Basecamp has been updated to release 4.7.4 from 4.7.1.

The new Map Updates are out 2022.10 but my Garmin Expess says my maps are up to date which is 2021.30 on my dezl 770 my other GPS updated to 2022.10 with no problem can any one fig out why the 770 is doing this

I uploaded rest areas POI but the closest ones on my route are not showing on my up ahead closest been 69miles out while i have 15 and 33 miles closer on the same route.

Just received an e-mail with "Action Required: Your Account Will Be Deleted in 60 Days" in the subject from Garmin saying "Your Account Will Be Deleted in 60 Days

I have 2 3597s. Somehow I have gotten them to display different menus. on the Where to? menu, one has Go Home, Address, Restaurants, Gas Stations, Shopping, Custom POIs, and Add Shortcut.
The other only has Add Shortcut.
The folders and files on each one appear identical.
I can access all of them by tapping Categories

How do I configure the Where To? screen???

Is Garmin currently using USB-C ports on any automobile GPS devices?

I was able to change symbols (pictures) on basecamp for my route. When I transferred my route onto my Garmin Drivesmart 65 it did not copy over my symbols. What is the most effective way of doing this without manually creating separate files for each POI. Does anybody have a good process for this?

Does anyone know if you can mount a Garmin BC 40 camera with magnets without creating any adverse affects or product damage?

I have attempted to update my RV 760 to map 2022.10 since the update was issued for most models. Garmin Express shows that it is up to date on version 2021.30. I read on an RV forum that there an issue with this specific model that has delayed the update. Does anyone have any information on this issue and when a solution might be expected?

Any insights would be appreciated.

I'd like to know if there is a way that I can retrieve old "Travel History Log" info from my Garmin Drive Smart 55.

I recall being able to do that on my previous device, a 2589LMT, but I can't seem to figure out on my current one.

I had some issues the last time I travelled in the EU as I did not have enough data on my phone.

I was wondering if there were any issues in switching a US Garmin to EU?

I believe this is a one time region change.

Have you or anyone you know made the region switch>

Hello again, folks. I'm wondering if it's possible to update an individual state rather than entire US, as this would greatly lessen the size of the download. I didn't find an answer on the Garmin help site, so I imagine that's not possible. What say you? Thanks. Ed

Hello, all. My first post on this forum. I have an older Garmin (not sure of the age). According to “about” it appears to be model 5, not sure if that’s correct, but that’s what it says. Sometimes the device just won’t turn on, but then appears to fix itself and work normally for a while.

I think I have sufficiently confused myself enough that I need help.
For some reason my two 3597s are acting different. When I connect one to my PC I get a item in File Explorer labeled "Nuvi 3597" with a nuvi_drive blue triangle icon next to it, not a folder icon. There are 2 drive icons under that labeled "Internal storage" and "Memory card".

I just checked on My DriveSmart 55 and saw that there is a software update. The update size is 62 MB.

It lists several things that are being updated, and for a change a few of the items listed seemed as quite important and useful patches.

It says the following:

DriveSmart x5
Version: 9.30
File Size: 62 MB

we have 2x 2689LMT's, and one (in Wife's Car) I believe the battery died....

I changed battery in our old 660... Was a bit intense, but we were successful....

Is the battery in 2689LMT as easy or easier to swap ?????

May look into that before trip later this year....

Hello! For some reason, when I tap "Where to?" the next screen shows only "Dynamic Parking" and "Add Shortcut" icons. It's completely different than its always been (i.e. Go Home, Addresses).

Does anyone know what happened, and how to fix it?
