Large JCV File Download Link for Garmin NA 2022.25 Map

If anyone wants the Large JCV file for the Garmin 2022.25 Map update, the download link follows below. Again, Garmin has supplied two files, D1279450A.jcv (820,976 KB) and D3060370A.jcv (850,465 KB), with both files inside a folder named "JCV". Due to the file size, the download is a compressed (WinRAR) file.

Thanks again for providing the large JCV files.

Enlighten me on JCV files...

I have a nuvi 2689LMT and it is up to date as far as maps downloaded by Garmin Express. Is the JCV file also updated by GE, or is that a manual process that I have to accomplish?

It's A Manual Process

Substitution with the large JCV file is a manual process. I believe your 2689LMT shows a split screen junction view. On some models with split screen junction views, one can replace the split screen JCV file with the large full screen JCV file where the full screen view pops up for a few seconds instead of the split screen JCV view. Some models won't allow this. One advantage of the large JCV file is it includes the highest number of junction views. I don't know whether your Nuvi 2689 model will allow the Large JCV file substitution.

Many split screen owners prefer the split screen as the split screen junction view shows for a far longer time that the Large JCV view that shows for only a short time. Someone with likely come along with more specific information about the Nuvi 2689 than I can offer. Additional you might find it useful to read CraigW's thread here: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/45292

Thanks.

My JVC file downloaded was 498,872KB. I added these and deleted the small one. Will try em out tomorrow and see what difference the big files make.

Thanks!

I continue to appreciate your service in keeping these older devices working better with the larger JCV files, mcginkleschmidt.

Everything is backed up, updated, and passed a simulation.

Take care!

Downloading now.

2022.25 and large JCV.

2022.25 and large JCV. Garmin seems to be getting ahead of itself. Now I must go collect my Nuvis. Thanks

thank you

thank you

Do I need to load both files to the .jcv folder or only the 3060370A
The last I had was just the 3060350A

Don't know the answer

I don't know the answer but you can volunteer to be the guinea pig and try out the JCV files both ways. When Garmin first changed to more than a single file for the JCV download starting with the 2022.10 update, many reported that a single file worked out well. It was reported elsewhere [no option to link to specific post] there was duplication and overlap of junction views between the four 2022.10 JCV files. As they say, the proof is in the pudding.

The ability to link to a specific forum thread or post is currently either broken or disabled. If you search for CraigW's very informative thread entitled, "What is the large Junction View file for Garmin On The Road devices and do I need or want it?" you will probably find your answer.

Straight from the horse's mouth

2022.25 - Which Large JCV to use?

So how can we determine which JCV file to use on our unit?

Do I load BOTH files?

I have a 3590, I suspect I use the 3060370A file, but how would I know for certain?

Thanks !

I loaded both

I have both loaded in a 1390T with no problems. They are on my microSD card.

Thanks... but what is the benefit of loading both?
