I've owned a 60 CSx for many years. I was awarded a bunch of points to buy merchandise so I figured it was time to upgrade and I got the 66st (basically since it cost me nothing). So far, with the exception of some new features and a faster acquisition time, I really don't see a tremendous difference. I thought the display would be sharper etc.

After doing the most recent updates to my Garmins, I noticed that my Garmin Nuvi 50 will no longer find POIs near Phoenix, which we are traveling to tonight.

Used to be, my GPS stayed perched on the dash if I was in the car. Now, with the built in NAV, I seldom use it. Although I do refer to it when going out of my comfort zone. What, a 100 mile radius? Or something like that. Finding a single point is fairly easy and straight forward, the search leaves a lot to be desired.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE THE GARMIN GPS ANNOUNCE THE CAMERA LOCATIONS WITH VOICE INSTEAD OF A SOUND THAT WOULD BE EASY TO INSTALL SINCE I AM NOT VERY COMPUTER SAVY,WHERE I LIVE HAS MANY CAMERAS IN STATEN ISLAND AND WITH THE TONES GOING OFF QUITE FREQUENTLY I TEND TO NOT NOTICE THEM OFTEN AND FEEL THE VOICE ANNOUNCING WOULD TAKE CARE

So the new maps are out and so far.. in my area it seems they have mapped every parking lot, thanks but in a parking lot I can navigate without a map.

That top bar which shows the "Road Ahead".. now is showing me the road I am on a lot more than the previous version.

It still.. misses a lot of "Roads Ahead", skipping major intersections and jumping to minor ones several blocks ahead.

My collection of Garmins includes a Garmin Nuvi 500. Earlier tonight, when I tried to update it, I received a message stating:

"We're unable to install the updates.

The latest version of these maps have so much new information that we're not going to be able to fit it all on your device's internal memory. Please contact Product Support for help with updating your maps."

In recent years the Garmin Large Full-Screen JCV file has always been downloaded as a single file that was around 830MB in size. Beginning with the latest 2022.10 map update the JCV file download changed from one to four separate JCV files with a more than 3-times folder size increase to 2.54GB.

I sent the following message to Garmin Support for an explanation:

Though latest map says it is loaded... I fear it has something to do with FourSquare, as when I go to mymaps... It shows the latest Map but no FourSquare....

and flashes something, maybe a chkdsk request?

Suggestions....?

I have tried 3 separate SD cards, and checked 2 in another system and they are OK...
Also tried restarting computer.... but that's not it either

The 2022.10 Large full-screen JCV file that I downloaded with my Garmin Nuvi 775T this time is oddly different than ever before. The last large JCV file for the 2021.30 map was D3060340A.jcv so the next JCV file for the 2022.10 map would likely follow in number sequence and be named D3060350A.jcv.

I've got a 3597 and it's got a totao 400 Mb free space.

I'm certain others have encountered this but what files / directories can I get rid of?

I'd like to recover as much space on the 3597's internal memory as possible.

Is there a post somewhere in here describing what's required?

I get some new brand garmin watch (2020). Stolen by delivery kurier. Is it possilbe to tracked by police through serial number? Or can new owner use it normally and pair with smartphone? How it works please? Thanks

I prefer using The GTM-60 to get Garmin HD traffic on my DriveSmart 55, rather than using the App.

The Garmin Tread product uses MURS (Multi-Use-Radio-Service) for radio technology, which means that you do not have to file a license with the FCC in order to use this product.

It has the five MURS channels and allows PL/DPL or carrier squelch.

are the listed POI will work with Garmin DriveSmart 65? it didn't work with my second Garmin. my major question is what Garmin models, these POI are compositable with? please advise. Ali,

The 2021.10 map update was released on 2/19/2020 last year and the last map update, 2021.30, occurred on 12/03/2020, almost three months ago. March is a day away so the 2022.10 map update probably wont be too far behind.

Any thoughts or guesses? I'm certain the thought about a new map update must have passed though the minds of others as inquiring minds want to know.

Is anyone else having problems with the garmin servers and updates?
If i use garmin connect it tells me click retry and fails, if I try and update direct through the gps on wifi it fails.

Just wondering if it's me and my area or maybe something to do with the storm thats going on.

Garmin Express v7.3.1.0 ready to download.
