Tonight I just re-added my Custom POIs to my StreetPilot and they loaded as they normally do. When selecting Custom POIs under Where To and selecting one of my categories (Dunkin Donuts as an example) it says "No Matches Found".

Garmin has released firmware update 4.40 for the Nuvi 7x5 series. The change log is as follows:

I have a Nuvi 650 that I bought new in 2008 and it's served me well since then. However, it was getting a bit 'long in the tooth' as far as recent information like roads, POI's, etc, so I thought I take a plunge and get a map-update rather than buy a new unit (though they are sooo tempting, but $$$ is tight).

I load only the Redlight cam file and verified more than once that the file contains only Redlightm but my nuvi continues to alert me of Speed Traps...cannot find them...probably from previous installation.

I even went ahead and delete the Current.gpx. Things did not help.

Please help. where do I begin to invest why, and the fix.

On my Garmin 3490, every so often this HOME pops up on the menu bar and shows the amount of miles to home, which I do not want, I was able to disable it once, anyone know how to disable it permanently. I prefer to have the individual streets show up as I approach them.

Whenever I connect my Nuvi 765t to the computer (Windows XP SP3) by USB port, I have to spend 15-20 minutes trying to get it to work. Eventually it works, but usually after a number of connects/disconnects.

I just got a Nuvi 2460lmt. I would like to create a GPX file so I may use the dialer and blue tooth. I have a database that has all the info in a csv format. Is there a program that can create a gpx file from this about 2500 names and addresses.
Also is it possible to save it as extra's not as favorites.

1. convert a csv file to gpx with phone #'s
2. Save it in my Extra' as Custom POIs

Keep getting error message on 2360lmt when installing the new map update 2012.40. Need help?

I just uploaded 2 files "Kentucky Mountains Peaks & Summits.gpx" and "Tennessee Mountains Peaks & Summits.gpx"which list all mountains over 3000 feet in those 2 states.
As I travel across the US I sometimes wonder how high is that mountain in the distance so I have slowly been putting together a file of mountains I might pass.

I am having trouble with getting my garmin 2300 to add a route in tools/trip planner. The plus sign is no longer highlighted (or one of the arrows). Does anyone know how to make it become highlighted so additional routes can be added? It's not a memory issue.

I have a Nuvi 2360LMT. I downloaded new map update and for some reason not showing side streets but only a rough view of major streets in area. I used option #2 method and selected correct map on Garmin MyMaps. I tried re-loading but same thing. Any ideas or how to hard reset?

I have a Nuvi 2460 and having problems with routing.

I find this software to be inordinately difficult to use. I wonder tho if only one map (hopefully the newest one) can be unlocked? I see several other maps on there and they are all locked with .4 being the only one unlocked. Any idea why they lock when a new map is downloaded? I dislike Garmin programming anyway.

Has something changed with one of the recent firmware updates?

Normally in viewing the traffic map I would see red and yellow highlights showing where there was alleged traffic congestion. Now I see nothing. I do get a warning "Traffic Ahead" and it switches to the traffic map, but there is no indication as to where the congestion is.

I have a 2011 Jeep Wrangler that has a built in nav/sat/DVD/radio etc. system. The nav part is made by Garmin.

How do I load custom POI's into it. When I called Garmin they told to contact Jeep. Jeep told me to read the owners manual. I tried that but it makes no sense to me. When I did what it said it didn't work.

I am trying to donwload the latest map to my 855. It seem that Garmin can't find my gps. Any suggestion.

My new map update does not have the by-pass routes for Ft. Madison IA or Osage Beach MO. Google made the changes last fall. A frontage road in my town has been closed for two years. Jill still wants me to go that way because it is 50 feet shorter.
..Does anyone have examples of updates not made?

Garmin released a new version of Basecamp today for the PC.

The change log for the PC is:

Changes made from version 3.2.2 to 3.3.1:

Added collapsible list folders and sub-lists for improved organization.
Added shaping point support for zumo devices like done in MapSource.
Added explicit support for shaping points. These will be transferred to supporting devices.

I purchased lifetime maps for my nuvi 260W two years ago. At one point in the not-too-distant past, while attempting to download the newest map, I received a message that I lacked sufficient space for the entire d'load, so I was "given" the Lower 49 maps.

Since then I have done some deleting and made adequate space; however, when I am offered the newest maps, the only choice is the Lower 49.
